Jobe's father's behavior after his substitution in Dortmund's first Bundesliga game hasn't been widely discussed publicly. I haven't heard anything major about it.

However, Dortmund has responded internally by restricting access to sensitive areas for family members.

Really?! I can't believe he did it.

Ah okay, sorry for being so sensitive.

No need to apologise.

@Mike is an American Liverpool fan, and is quite insufferable.

Feel free to give him as much of a telling as you feel is necessary.

Worked with a German lad for years over in the US. He is probably the funniest person i've ever met, humor is dry as sticks

Germany has changed a lot in recent years. It has become much more multicultural. The prejudices or virtues that once existed in the world certainly only apply to a portion of the population today. And basically, it's the same in all countries, whether British or German. There are good characters and there are assholes. People are the same in all countries. Well, maybe there's a bit more of one group or the other in certain countries. It certainly depends on the observer's perspective.

Thats my information:
At Dortmund's Bundesliga debut, a 3-3 draw with FC St. Pauli resulted in an incident: Jobe was substituted at halftime. His father, Mark Bellingham, was on hand, having traveled from England especially for the match, and subsequently sought a meeting with the club's sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, in a restricted area of the stadium. The club responded with an internal decision: access by local residents and agents to certain restricted areas (e.g., the locker room and corridor areas) was to be more restricted in the future.

I'll add: If you feel it's necessary it's probably still not enough.

So important that they do. I don't think CL qualification is as critical this season as it was last as long as we still have a good season, but last thing we want is for him to start thinking he's above us so quickly.

It’s critical every season if you want to keep and pay your CL level players.

I don't know if anyone noticed but he looked far more emotional for us on Saturday in that he had a few chances / passes that didn't come his way or he didn't take and he was frustrated with himself. The desire from him is 100% there and I really loved seeing that from him. He's heating up!
