“I know people associate me with goals, but you can’t compare a striker’s tally with that of a midfielder playing 50, 60, 70 metres from the opponent’s goal. I’m currently a completely different Nick Woltemade than I was at the start of the season.

“Right now, I should be judged by how I handle duels or secure space. Of course, I score far fewer goals now. But I’m completely relaxed. I don’t mind expanding my repertoire. And I’m convinced that, in the long run, it will make me stronger if I learn to navigate phases like this.”

I'm not sure that's the best thing to focus on

They’ve definitely had more sexual intercourse.

I had a bit of a spat with Magpie Media on Twitter a few months ago, hes a kid, 19 years old, his knowledge of the club goes back about 5 year.

Tbf not winning duels was an issue when he was playing 9, so if this little run improves that, then he'll be a better player for it.

Bild (Germany‘s wretched Sun cousin), reports that Borussia Dortmund monitors Nick‘s situation closely. However, his family states that he is not interested in a transfer at all…so no news here.

I think it would be professional neglect for the German teams not to be monitoring Big Nick. He's been a complete fish out of water here since we pulled the old Wissa-roo on him. Spending a week or so with the German team last week, you know he had to be hearing a lot "you need to come back home and play for Dortmund/Bayern/Whomever".

Relatedly, I heard on a podcast this morning that a caller has a "friend of a friend" who works for the team who is certain Nick has told the club that he'd want a transfer if Howe is brought back next year. Despite the air-tight sourcing of this reportage, that actually wouldn't surprise me.
