Would be a fairer question if Terrymac had been the one who signed all those players.  It’s not much of a defence to say ‘what was Eddie meant to do with the squad he put together?’

That would imply Howe is solely responsible for incoming business and said business hasn't been severely impacted by external factors though. I can't speak for LFEE but I doubt he was making such a bad faith defence.

I'm sure his agent (as well as Lewis Hall's) would like to give Eddie a swift kick in the shins right about now. Went from Germany's top scorer in qualifying to not seeing the field as a third choice at best. Maybe he'll get some second half minutes against Curacao.

Aye Woltemades ability not to sprint or shoot is Eddie's fault, as is Halls inability to defend consistently.

You Eddie guys are a hoot. Nick seemed to be pretty OK when he got here, no? It's a pretty simple question for me. Would you say he (or anyone else aside from Osula for that matter) has progressed or regressed in their time here this year? Eddie's handling of the roster was the biggest of his many failures this year. 

 

Twelfth fucking place, mate. He can't manage European campaigns. Lucky for him we've nowt to worry about on that front next year, I guess.

Given that Woltemade is his golden goose, his agent wants to be asking anyone with influence at the club which arse cheek they'd like him to kiss first so when Bayern Munich come calling in a year or two he gets his payday as easily as Anthony Gordon's just did

He wasnt ok when he got here. The team suffered massively because he didnt fit the system.

 

Eddie Howe has made virtually every player hes had better.

ok, I’ll bite. I’d say Thiaw and Hall have improved, granted we didn’t know what we were getting with Thiaw but he’s performed better than any of us imagined.  I reckon Miley has kicked on as well. If we’re going to be pedantic about it, I also think it’s Barnes’s best goal return for us as well.

He played qualifiers because Havertz was injured all season. Havertz was always going to be first choice.

He’s always been Germany’s 3rd choice forward. How many times does this need to be said before it sinks in?

He also had never started a game for the senior side before joining us. 

 

I get it we had a poor league season, but it's the 1st under par one (massively in the league) we have had under Howe, so I'm confused why it's such a catastrophe for some.
