Ross Wilson (Sporting Director)

Recommended Posts

Needs to earn his wages now and support Howe with defensive options.  We down to the bare bones at CB.

Surely we must do either a short term loan, or a loan to buy in the summer and do it swiftly. Pretty much the exact opposite of our usual approach.

Howe has said there's things in place if they need to move. I suspect once they've confirmed Fabbys injury things will happen. Burn another 3-4 weeks away by the sounds of it, we can go through January with Thiaw and Botman.

Yeah we can't just steam in, whatever we do has to be part of a longer term plan.

100%, hopefully they've got fabbys long term replacement lined up. Good young athletic ball playing centre half would be delicious.

I thought Thiaw was Fabbys long term replacement?

Clone Thaiw is my suggestion. We also need clarity regarding Botmans future as well. Our ageing squad means we've always got plenty to do in the market.

I'd be cloning Miley.

Another right sided CB then, really don't care how it is labeled in terms of replacing whom, needs to be in the building in Feb.

Agree that it must be part of a long term plan.

The team has put in the effort to get us back close to European places, we need to stick around those positions now

We have quite a lot of players to replace to be honest

Trippier

Krafth

Schar/Lascelles/Burn

LB cover

Midfielder

GK

No idea how much that's going to cost over the next 2 seasons

Well you don't really need to replace Krafth or Lascelles.

Miley RB performances may be shifting things if Miley is happy playing there. Could mean if Murphy is potentially moved as a back up RB, that we have a collection of Miley, Murphy, Tino and Hall for full backs which I wouldn't be against if there's not a player out there who's happy to be rotation. Means we can wait till summer 2027 if needs be and go with CM and RW options which are still issues.

I’d be extending Burn by at least a year come the summer.

Ross Wilson will be ultimately be met with the immovable force that is Eddie Howe.

I don't believe that Will Osula picked up a knock - I think he's been Ryan Fraser'd.

Look at the players Wilson brought in at Southampton. Rangers. Forest.

Howe has never let Harrison Ashby have a first team second - him working with how Ross Wilson works - it's not going to end well for Ross.
