papa50
Wirtz is worryingly looking like the player they thought they were getting back in August. Only 22 as well Edited February 1 by papa50
TK-421
Haven't read through all the posts, but watched this out last night and probably echo a lot of previous comments. Great start, and first half hour or so, but once they equalised we just kind switched off. Traditional Howe reactive triple sub after they got the 3rd, and hoying Wolte and Wissa on suggested he knew the game was gone, and it was a case of let's just see what happens, rather than a plan. Strange one though, to start the game with no 'striker', but finish the match with 3 of them on!! Well, 'striker' in loosest of terms. Overall probably a half expected result, but the scoreline was a kick in the nuts really. They weren't really 4-1 better than us, but we just got sloppy in 2nd half, and that 4th goal. Anyway, onto Man City and see if we can rescue the tie. Edited February 1 by TK-
Scoreboard82
It was as if a switch was flicked once we scored. Started so well then just turned into a mess. Edited February 1 by Scoreboard82

Ginola14
unless we're full-strength we're never really winning at Anfield anyone who thinks we should be winning otherwise is deluded they're so far ahead of us, annoying as that is

RUHRLYASLEEVESUP
We are a million miles away from competing with Liverpool, Arsenal etc How do we fix it ? Edited February 1 by RUHRLYASLEEVESUP
Drewboy74
I can never take defeat easy with this lot. There's nothing gracious about losing to them, ever. Just pure hatred and its not healthy. Even them down the road get a pass on those despicable cunts.

A decade of commercial and financial improvement I guess. In the meantime we might be able to close the gap for short periods due to good transfers and management. We have closed the gap loads already TBF, just doesn’t always play out in individual games where they can pit out far more attacking talent than we can. Forest, Bournemouth, Wolves, Leeds, Burnley, Mackems managed to give a better account of themselves. Its their first league win since a narrow win over Wolves over Christmas. 1 hour ago, nufc123 said: Problem is not Anfield, but at Anfield we did the same away collapse as other away games. Comes on the back of two lame performances against Villa and Wolves, I don't think anybody is taking this game in isolation its more that it was an predictable result that incorporated the weak defending, blunt attacking and post going ahead decline we've seen all season. Superior Acuña
Our absolutely shocking record at Anfield, as well as terrible record v them at home over last decade, makes it even more shocking we won the cup final. Hard to remember how hopeless many felt - we did it though lads, still buzzing

Heron
Just an accident. These young lads get put into situations almost weekly/monthly where they visit bairns in hospitals etc. Which will be undoubtedly uncomfortable for them, but they still do it. He's made a mistake, that's all there is to it. Social media is the pits like. Edited February 1 by Heron
