I don’t know one person that regularly goes to watch non-league, that wouldn’t go if Newcastle were on TV.* *I will qualify that by saying I don’t know many that regularly watch non-league full stop, so I’m probably not in a good position to judge. It definitely makes a massive difference to crowds at Northern League level. Less so the further you go up the pyramid.

Let’s turn into the NFL, maybe throw in some tailgate parties and Cheesehead hats to really capture the vibe. The sooner we weed out the US owners and stop this cultural vandalism the better. If they did do direct to consumer distribution, then they would likely end up also changing the distribution model. On the international distribution schemes, the top 6 already receive a greater proportion of revenue compared with the rest of the league. I’d say they would do something like you can subscribe via your own club, and if you do that, then your club gets a greater percentage of the fee on top of what is equally paid out, however if you subscribe via the Premier League, then they will distribute more of that fee to the top 6 clubs, under the assumption that they are likely being you in as a fan, instead of the other clubs.
