To be fair, you could argue that they don’t want to work with local companies and just want McDonalds to come in and cater them. If they want to do it, then it would be possible to work with local companies. As I said, they probably have a general idea of what they use right now, and anyone going into the catering side of it would need to do a forecast and possibly have a few matches where they need to get it right. Cricket is perfect for watching with a beer, I imagine Rugby too but never watched it whereas football I think you're either too invested or the impact of a goal, decision is too high for drinking in the stands. I’ve been abroad where you can order at your seat and there’s people talking to servers and passing pints across you when you’re trying to watch the match. I complain about people leaving at HT early for pints but I prefer that to what they have. Prob my ideal would be sell them pre-match but stop when the game starts. Tailgate first, then get in the ground and just get tanked up for 3.5 hours. Although I think you get restricted to one beer per person from the 3rd quarter and no beers in the 4th quarter. The idea of people going to the match in the first place only to then spend loads of the time drinking on the concourse, smoking/vaping, stuffing their fucking faces is completely alien to me. The match is the only reason I'm there. I'll arrive just before kick off and I'll leave soon after the final whistle as that's my only focus. I appreciate if you're in corporate then it's a different matter completely. I also appreciate young kids might need a bit to eat or drink but can't understand why grown adults go to the match only to miss lots of the match, it baffles me.
