Agree all this trend for cheap cladding will look shite in years.

I don't get the "please not another bowl" crowd - What shape do you want it to be, triangular?

It will be a bowl. It must be a bowl.

What kind of bowl is important though and I want steep sides behind the goals, with big blocks of seating a-la Dortmund. Plus a low roof over those ends, something designed for acoustics to push the sound out onto the pitch. That's all I ask. They can dio whatever the fuck they want then with the corporate stuff or the stands at the side.

I don't go all the time but I have been in there for matches a bunch of times before yeah. It's usually a good crowd. I'd be down to meet up for drinks for a match for sure, then if you want we can roll around to a few of my haunts and I'll show you a good Denver time! September is an awesome time of year out here. You gotta make sure your brother takes you up to see the leaves changing.

Saw an interesting quote in an article which reinforces why we have to move to a new stadium if we are to compete:

Quote

White Hart Lane turned over £1m every match day. The new place does £6m a game.

And on top of the match day revenue, the amount Spurs make from commercial activity - merch, sponsors, other stadium events etc is £270m a year

NUFC’s commercial revenue is £64m

Yes, yes, yes I know they’re in London so we probably wouldn’t earn quite as much being in lil old Newcastle

And yes, yes, yes I know they’re shit on the pitch, but that’s because Levy doesn’t spend the extra bunce they’re making from the stadium on decent players so they’ve got the lowest wages to turnover ratio in the league

What's Anfield get? Similar capacity to SJP, and an old stadium, though of course currently a more successful world brand.

And what difference did their modest capacity increase make, which is close to what SJP could be extended to.

£272m in commercial revenue (can't see the breakdown of non-match stadium income vs sponsorships, kits sales, global club shops etc)

£80m in matchday revenue

But that's from 2022/23 when they had construction work taking place, reduced capacity and therefore reduced match day revenue

(SJP is £40m matchday based on available info)

Isn't there some pictures of the stairs underneath that were taken by workmen?
