That's not brick by brick

We’ve moved on from brick by brick.

We’re gonna dig up Leazes Terrace, whack it on a massive trolley, then push it round the corner to be located on Exhibition Park.

Thought we were going to build a whole new top of the line complex.

I read an interesting (well, to me anyway) article a while ago about Leicester’s new training ground/campus.

Whilst everyone agreed it was state of the art, and every kind of facility a player could need, there was also a feeling that because it was absolutely massive, and quite remote in terms of location, some of the players weren’t that keen on it. Something about having no ‘community feel’ to it.

Now it might have been a case of people just searching for reasons as to why Leicester were so utterly shit last season (which was when it was written), but there may also be something to consider in regards to why we haven’t just whacked a new super-campus somewhere up by the airport.

It seems the vision has changed. Maybe PSR has taken the lustre from this investment

I'm sure PSR has taken some of the lustre from it, but that's not really an example. It looks like quite a substantial investment anyway, especially if there are still plans to build a purpose built one somewhere else....which I am sceptical of tbh.

We will be, this is to bring the old place up to scratch until the new one is ready, which could be a few years realistically.

Exactly. A state of the art facility could be 5 years away.

Still searching for a site to build it on.

You know, four years after the takeover.

Need to get a property development company on board to speed it up.  People who know the area, have loads of experience and own vast swathes of Newcastle.

Hey! That sounds like the Reuben brothers.

The Duke of Northumberland really, which is why it’s a shame that Staveley went. Her father has links to him, and no doubt would have been able to find a perfect bit of land somewhere. It’s also not surprising that she used Alnwick castle to host end of season and directors/owners meetings, and since she has gone there has been a change of venue.

Hope hinting here that it’s a redevelopment of SJP over a new stadium.

I hope not - we need a new stadium if we're to compete.  St James' sadly just doesn't bring in enough £££

Yeah, Everton's new digs looked really impressive I thought. I don't love the architecture and still think it resembles something more like a gallery than a football stadium, but the setting is spectacular and the crowd looked great.

Feel like they might be in for a good season, vibes seem decent and Ndiaye and Grealish will cause problems. Hopefully their new striker is as rubbish as Beto. Bloody Moyes making me like em a bit, too.

He’s using it as a joke.

Zero chance that they go with an expanded SJP, it doesn’t provide enough seats, it doesn’t provide enough corporate space, and it doesn’t allow SJP to be more easily used for other events.
