UncleBingo
Anything that's positive for the city is to be encouraged. This, all the rugby stuff has been great for the city......went to a couple of the World Cup games a few years back and they were excellent. Newcastle was also voted the best venue in the competition by the visiting fans, that's why the RFU are so keen to use it for events. Also, the Falcons have done incredibly well this season, particualrly with their limited resources compared to other teams.

nufcjb
When you look at the pictures today of Level 7 unused and other parts of the stadium being empty, it really is incredible that the same stadium is full every other Saturday for our games. especially when we were in the Championship too. The stadium being half empty looks so weird as compared to for example the Stadium of shite down the road where it would look weird if it was full. xLiaaamx
Happy for the Falcons, but not enthused about Rugby being played at SJP when we still have 4 important games to play before the next relaying of the turf.

They'll get it sorted no worries. haven't been worried about the pitch at SJP since the days of Souness when everyone was pulling up with injuries. Guest
Something pleasing about a big fuck off Fijian wheeling away doing the Shearer celebration after a try.
Heron
It just makes me proud to think we have a top venue and a top city, with top people. It says a lot more when the travelling fans are the ones saying it too.
ponsaelius
Hard to take rugby seriously when a top flight professional can't catch a falling ball with both their hands and a footballer can do it with the instep of one foot.

Away Day Gadgie
30174 there today. Wouldn’t be surprised if RTG have a thread about it calling us fickle.
Tsunami
Surprising that there’s are lot less empty seats with 30k in a 52k stadium than there is in a 48k stadium with 28k attending. Sunderland must be getting some gates where they’re struggling to get 10k through the doors.
