Karjala
I'd say they need at least 6 TOP signings, spending £30m in the process... Duff would be a nice one for them to start with
Cajun
Keane is a born winner, motivator, great man etc.... Keane is a headcase waiting to lose it. Sunderland have spent a lot of money and Keane has brought in players who will do a good job in the championship. Sunderland are a big club down there and have no worries attracting those type of players, what happens when they step up to the next level and are no longer as attractive? Keane has shown during his career that when things arent going well he can't handle it and loses control a little (speaking out against his own player, walking out on Ireland..). Lets wait to see how he does when the pressure is really on next season before we all start claiming him to be the next big thing in football management... Benwell Lad
Serious question - does Sunderland's renaissance worry you? Be honest. We've got the same thing with Birmingham potentially coming up, but in that case it is different, as they're always going to be a badly run grotty parks team. Sunderland seem to have some money and momentum behind them. I think Sunderland will be next season's Reading. In Keane they have a winner and a motivator, some of it is bound to rub off on the players. Can't see it. Reading were an exceptional Championship side who were hammering all around them. The Keane hype has lifted Sundlund and he has made them a difficult side to beat, but the truth is they have not been exceptional and have scraped home in a lot of games against less than moderate opposition. That does not auger well for when they step up. Their squad is full of Championship type players, a lot of whom Keane brought on big contracts, he will be saddled with them next season. And remember they have always done well in that league, we heard all the hype before but they never cut it in the big league. Granted they will not beat their fantastic 15 point record, that is destined to remain theirs indelibly for ever, but I forsee more tears on Wearside next season when the magic carpet comes crashing back down to earth. Guest stormrider
Keane is DEFO gonna be a top manager in the future. he's certainly not going to stay with the mackems and he's just using them to get his name out as a manager. next job? probably manure after fergie quits, or even the ireland team. Superior Acuña
Keane may well turn out good, but i dont know what has made people think he will McCarthy stormed the championship with less money, keane hasnt. Why's keane being hyped but mick not? great person Roy Keane is? He could have fooled me. I despised him and just thought he was a nasty guy long before he came to sunderland

As i've said, there's nothing to suggest h'll be bad, but i dont really think anything suggests he'll be good. If he wasnt a big name player he'd be getting nothing like the hype. Sounds to me like how souness did at Rangers.

Watch the confidence drop when they step up a division! mackems are one of the biggest fanbases in the country Jon. They would piss all over shite little club like Spurs for instance if they get their act together. Brummie - aren't birmingham owned by 2 of the richest men in the UK why don't they have ambition for the club ?
Yorkie
There's a fucking cunt who i sit next to in my English class, who alledgedly supports Sunderland. He's a proper Sunderland wanker aswell - thick as mince and doesn't know the first thing about football. Yet he's been chanting for weeks on end "We are going up", etc, because he doesn't like me and he knows i'm a Newcastle fan. I just sent the wanker a PM on MSN saying: "The mackems are coming to St James' next season." "What's a mackem?" Fucking retard. Sorry, i know, hardly the most thrilling story. But i felt it worth sharing.

Sullivan was complaining in the local press recently, "I've spent 10 million pounds at this club". That says it all really. They're a vile, piss pot outfit, tbh. Ashley17
Derby are abysmal, they had 4 players at left back arguing whilst the play went on down the right. A mackem mate of mine was complaining that "it wouldn't feel right going up in second" - considering they weren't even in the playoffs at Christmas they should be grateful to be going up at all. Mind you, I asked the same guy if he thought the current squad could survive in the Prem and he said yes, comfortably. So you can imagine my delight when I asked him if he thought Nosworthy could handle the likes of Henry and Rooney, he simply said "yeah of course" Dillusional
