BBC Article

He never got a real run here, and probably wouldn't have made the ultimate grade, but he seems to have flourished as a regular player in the championship.

In short the article says a 3m bid has been rejected but no club is named, then goes on to compare Chopra's performances last season to Nugents who is valued at 7m.

take your pick........

Darren Huckerby

Ade Akinbiyi

Jon Macken

Robert Earnshaw

Guy Whittingham

.......... its totally different playing in the big boys league.  Unless Chopra is offered stupid money he'd be better off staying at Cardiff

3mil is the right price, just, but the right price doesnt get you the player you want, 4mil and he would be sold

i love the way people say he couldnt hack it in the premiership when he only started 7 league games. it took tevez 25 to look decent.

I'll think you will find Earnie scored goals in the Premiership for both West Brom and for Norwich and i wouldn't be suprised to see him score 10+ goals for a poor (at the mo) Derby team next season.

from wiki: He is second only to Thierry Henry in terms of goals-per-minute in Premiership history.

he might do well in the premier league for a weeker squad

but hes proved hes a excellent championship player

Hardly when he couldn't do it with Shearer beside him.

stronger players made him the 'weeker' player of the squad and he will feel more comfortable with not so good players around him

I think most people would prefer better players around them tbh.

Maybe he's suggesting Chopra prefers to be the big fish in a small pond rather than the other way around?

some players might prefer to play with weeker players than themselves

He should get himself a contract at Gateshead then.

But they aren't much "weeker" than him, as he's not much cop.

He's found his level, and if he moves up, he'll get found out, but he'll make a few quid on the way, so fair play to him. As long as we don't have him here, we've still got a Championship striker, we don't need two.

Best thing for him would be to have another season like he had last season and hopefully for his sake they will sign Fowler and get promoted. He's Cardiff's star player so if they go up he is guaranteed to be first choice. If he left now for a Premiership team he might start on the bench and if he doesn't impress when he comes on he will find himself back to square one.
