Guest Gemmill
this is stupid, last 2 weeks we have heard nothing about a new signing, then in 2 days we are signing 4 players. crazy stuff ! thats how business should be done, not in the press where we spout our mouths off and then look ridiculous when we dont get the player we want, and also dont have to pay over inflated prices because nobody knows exactly what we have to spend. Great work Mr Mort and Mr Allardyce. Also this to me smacks of very much the MUFC model of doing things, they never rave about a player until they have hgim, until its signed, e.g. nani, anderson, tevez, ronaldo, carrick, vidic, heinze, van der sar, larsson. They only talk after they have secured an agreement Just goes to show how much of an industrious worker Big Sam is in the transfer market. And yet still people have been pissing and moaning about how all was lost and we were doomed. Hopefully the next couple of weeks will knock that on the head for good. FrenchWilliam
It is Gemmill. He did seem to know too much about what the lad was up to, you could have a point. I don't even like Doritos! No denial of knowledge on masturbating gimps though I notice.
Baggio
Just skimming through a few articles about him on Sky Sports website (how shit is that now btw?) It seems he was highly rated there, they wanted him to sign a contract extension but he decided to move on for a new challenge, a few bits about injuries but it didn't seem anything serious. sempuki
From "over the road": A very good source has informed me that we have four defensive-minded trialists on board. Mark Delaney , a defender called 'Rivas' from Real Betis, someone from Switzerland who has been given the name 'Henry'?, and of course Cacapa has been invited to train with us whilst in talks. Guest MIKELMAN11
I will be happy if he signs because he is a very good player and has played for the best team in france and played in the champs league every year with lyon getting to the latter stages every year , get that serbian signed up also and the defence might start to look good . beardsleymagic
I've nowt against Sam having people over for trials. As long as if they sign they're better than what we've already got.
FrenchWilliam
The old rumour mill's going nuts today. Has no one spotted Deco down Osbourne road? Eto'o getting in a taxi at Teeside Airport?

FrenchWilliam
About an hour ago. A mate works at the Nuffield and apparently they're there now getting their jabs.

BottledDog
About an hour ago. A mate works at the Nuffield and apparently they're there now getting their jabs. Nope, Jags. Medical must be over, as there are a couple of blokes in NUFC tops walking down Moor Crescent at the mo. Probably scouting for cheap digs.

Willow
Can't wait to see Cacapa once he gets his fitness up! Like it said he's missed pre-season training so we'll get him trained up asap. Some much needed experience at the back with CL experience and Lyon captain for the past 5 title winning seasons. Hope we get him settled nicely
eggybread
think this could be a very good signing not only as a player but also as a mentor for taylor you're not the centre back and captain of Lyon for 5 years if your average, lack of pre-season is a big concern though
Dogmatix
Leta hope he's not "Cac" Good move though Heard it pronounced 'Ca- shapa' on the BBC radio today.Anyone know the correct pronounciation?
Ikon
Well he may not be fit in the beginning but that will come with time, And he may sit on the bench until he gets really fit (depending on other injuries) But having him on the bench will certainly give competition for places, and hopefully that will hepl Rozehnal and Taylor play on a higher level. Btw how's taylor's injury atm? have not read anything about it on the web since last week..
