greydos
Can anyone give a tactical/detailed opinion for why Cacapa impressed on the weekend? I didn't get to see the game as what at an all day Hindu wedding
Keefaz
Didn't have much time on the pitch, but didn't really put a foot wrong when called upon. Looked very composed.

McCormick
very composed, made some great tackles look effortless. think he'll do very well for us
STM
One things is for sure. He should not be judged on his performance tonight, nor should Enrique. I'll be happy if they get 80ish minutes and they help keep a clean sheet. Looking forward to seeing a couple more competant defenders at the back, as apposed to the usual laughing stock. Guest leon b
i think the composure of rozy and cacapa will prove invaluable to us over the next couple of seasons, as long as both adapt to the physical nature of the epl. Having calm defenders will allow attacking players to feel alot more comfortable going forward.
Guest Magic
My favourite moment of caca's debut was where one of their guys was running at him and he tackled him. It was genius. No running back 10 yards behind the rest of our back four like Taylor. No stupid obvious sliding tackles like Bumble. No letting the guy past and then just pulling his shirt and hoping it all works out alright like Carr. No doing something utterly shit and useless like Ramage. He just took the ball off the guy. More of our defenders should start doing that.
Guest Knightrider
Outstandingly good tonight I thought. Never wasted one ball by my reckoning, never lost a header, never went to ground once, never burst a gut or seemed under any pressure at any stage of the game despite being in the thick of the action. I'm not surprised his Lyon team-mates were gutted to see him leave.

Guest Grimbo
Agreed - he was quality tonight along with Enrique, Taylor and Solano.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
when Enrique is fully fit, back 4 would be... Beye Rozehnal Cacapa Enrique especially against the "big 4". Although some claim Cacapa lacks pace, I think his experience (and that of Beye) combined with the calm composure of Rozy will pay dividends. And obviously Enrique picks himself providing he's fit. Guest
I'd go with Cacapa & Rozehnal. People will go on about "what about Taylor" etc. but if you look, it wasn't until 3 seasons ago that Terry tied down a regular slot. For Desailly & Leboeuf/Gallas, read Cacapa & Rozehnal. Guest Knightrider
Did Enrique look confident? Even if a little bit unfit still.. He started the game slowly and looked out of place but as the game wore on he become more involved and attuned to the match, showing his undoubted class once or twice. Doesn't look fully up to speed but read the game well and looked comfortable on the ball, looks strong too and got forward well. I was impressed. He looks a good player put it that way and his presence in the team with Zoggy back on the flank further up gave us good balance and shape. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Promising. Rich
I was really, really, really impressed with Cacapa tonight. The guy seems to be a class act. A cult hero in the making since the day I saw his bearded mug. Looks nowt like a footballer, but looks like he's a fucking player alright. I'm excited about seeing him in the Premiership regularly, if he can stay fit. With Faye incoming we'll have four central defenders who I'd struggle to between pick to start any given match, which is something I'm not sure I've ever been able to say before. Rich
'Playa' more like. Racialist, tbh. I nearly compared his appearance to that of a Nigerian conman who's weaseled his way into a Premiership team, but thought better of it. ...Whoops.
