He is horrible when receiving possession in our own half. It’s heart in mouth stuff at the moment.

Barnes has scored nearly as many league goals as Gordon did last season in half as many starts and is getting moved to accomodate him playing like this. Baffling.

I would consider starting Barnes and Murphy against Everton I think. I’d love a Gordon triumph story but he’s not helping himself at the moment.

If Isak isn’t fit we all know who’s starting and we all know what it’ll mean.

I wouldn't say it was expected - not at all. And tbh if we'd took our chances we would be deserved winners - what's frustrating is we didn't take them and knowing if we had our best player on the pitch we most likely would have won that game. Bar a couple of shots Pope had very little to do - the fact Raya got MOTM says it all.

Odd decision really. Trying accommodate Gordon. In this game first half against Saka then yeah understandable. But not all the other times! Kind of how Barnes has lost form. To a segree.

Wouldn't play him against Everton in the form he's in. Last thing we need is him doubling that poor form up with Main Character Syndrome, as he has done in that fixture in the past.

Competed fairly well and lost to a worldie and their keeper as MoM. Tino clean through and stopping kind of summed it up for me. Bruno had a good game but missed an easier chance than Rice took. We're a good team, much better than the past, but the too dependent on Isak for the killer instinct. Win next week, which we should do, and it won't matter.
