Love the third kit. I don’t buy the shirts anymore and haven’t for years. But it is tempting me. Controversial, but I’m not that bothered by the other Originals stuff. Much preferred last year’s and I’ve never liked that badge. Looks cartoony and proper naff. Has the leaked green kit been confirmed as our away kit? I actually like the more hooped style. The one with thin lines looks terrible from what I’ve seen. Looks like a keeper kit.

I don't, as you said yourself we don't know anything hence me speculating if we will not fill ever hole and take some strategic risks. This is a discussion forum after all.

We signed Lewis Hall on loan. We could easily do a deal like that. We can also sell players. Which im sure we will. We dont need to spend 60m on every position. Whether we were linked with Diomande in the past or not is irrelevant. We clearly didn't want him and I can't think for a second its because we dont want a CB. If you want to put stock in media reports you could lean on every local journalist saying that CB is one of our priorities, or lean into us trying to sign Guehi last year, or enquiring about Scalvini. Guehi is going to Liverpool FWIW. Id rather we didn't even entertain that one anymore. Towards the end of the window we will sign a CB.

Because Guehi looks unlikely and Diomande who is believed to have a real high ceiling is good for a reasonable fee. I don't think we can do, top CB, top rw, rotation attack and Trafford with our budget personally.

This is the problem with trying to equate business with international reach and household budgets though. Yes they make annual losses, but they’re in the majority appreciating assets, which is why US hedge funds are falling over themselves to invest in clubs over here.

He’ll just straight bar them away in terms of “we’re not selling” so I don’t see an issue. Even if Howe and the club are fairly sure we might only have one season left with him he’ll be vital for the CL, re-qualifying for the CL and all round profile. I fully expect one of the continents big guns to come in for him next summer but there’s no way I see him leaving this summer. The potential transfer fee kills off most teams anyway.

They do though don’t they? No first team signing in 18 months or so. Howe and the players led us to the cup in spite of what happened off the pitch.
