Can anyone give me anything, anything at all positive about Smith? An effective match he had, an assist, any kind of crumb of decency? The goal in the friendly (I was there!) doesn't count - competitive contribution only. Henri Saivet was amazing on FM a tricky winger / striker but for some reason played CM/DM for us. Out of him, Alan Smith and Joelinton, Joes the only crap striker turned great midfielder. The others have been terrible

I see a lot of people saying this, but I don't really see the upside of that for us (regarding Isak). As it is, he's still under contract for another 3 years, where we hold all the cards. If he signs a new contract with a £150m release clause, he's probably leaving next summer and there's nothing we can do about it. All the while we'll be paying him more for the next 12 months as well

There's nothing relevant about Lee Clark being an intelligent player in the 90s or his son playing for our academy years ago that makes him a very well rounded candidate. Such a well rounded candidate that his work in the Northern League, Sudan and Oman must have gone unnoticed
