It’s clear that there are a few players that we’ve been after for a few weeks now, and we’ve also had all season work out whether they would want to sign for us. I think if we can’t get Pedro, Elanga, and Trafford wrapped up by the time pre-season starts then something is wrong and we need to move onto more attainable targets. It might be that the players are too expensive, the other club is messing us around, or the player is holding on to see if there are other options.

Yeah, looking into it Beardsley joined in 83 so must have been 83/4. The fact there's no star on his shirt does suggest random shirts grabbed.
-
Can't see how we'd qualify for the next one. It's designed that way. Legacies only.

Beardsley and Keegan played one season together, the promotion season. The season before was Varadi. Im guessing those tops were a case of grab whatever tops for a photo, as you say maybe used for training..... also the last current Newcastle top I ever owned.

Interesting, Alamy says "Newcastle United Players, Terry McDermott, Chris Waddle and Peter Beardsley enjoy a cup of tea ahead of training session at Benwell, Thursday 5th January 1984. The players face Liverpool in the FA Cup tomorrow at Anfield. (match score Liverpool 4-0 Newcastle)" - https://www.alamy.com/newcastle-united-players-terry-mcdermott-chris-waddle-and-peter-beardsley-enjoy-a-cup-of-tea-ahead-of-training-session-at-benwell-thursday-5th-january-1984-the-players-face-liverpool-in-the-fa-cup-tomorrow-at-anfield-match-score-liverpool-4-0-newcastle-image465185810.html This would suggest you're right. Confused as to why they're wearing the 82/3 kit in the picture. Perhaps they trained in old kits back then.

The pic is from KKs 2nd season. The promotion season.
-
Think it must have been 82/3 as a different badge in 83/4 and Terry Mac joined in 82. Edit: would seem it's Jan '84

Or they watch football
-
He looks great, is it the no socks thing ?
-
Was that 83-84? What a season. It was great to come out of the depression of the pre KK playing era. Found myself watching KKs toon debut v QPR (1982) on YouTube again today. Still spine tingling watching his winner and seeing the limbs all over the packed Gallowgate. Thought I was dreaming watching that back then.

And I was said someone/fuckwit/newly suspected closeted homosexual
-
Correct. Might as well get who we need this window and take a points hit from PL and fine from UEFA.
-
It crossed my mind that someone would Google it 😂😂😂
-
Strangely for him better going forward than defending on the right but seemed to be playing a strange role almost covering centre mid at times.
-
He was a bit off his game today probably more fatigue than anything.
-
Actually googled that. Girlfriend saw me google. Now thinks I’m looking for gay male porn stars. So thanks for that.
-
He wasn't really involved in the first half. Had a few decent bits in the second half, but the game kind of passed him by imo. He didn't do much wrong, but wasn't massively involved

Yet another anti-competitive aspect of PSR is that it effectively gives the non-cap teams veto power over transfers from any team subject to a cap (i.e. us), since they can so easily outbid on fees and wages, even if they don’t actually want or need the player as much as we do.
