  4. I applaud your self control on the subject The man is a vile creature of the unspeakable owner I doubt there is anything he wouldn't do if his boss asked him Not a shred of self respect or principle
  5. v interesting we've done pretty badly for what we've spent......................
  6. we're not a big club - we're mid table mediocrity man
  7. Better than expected and could have been really good - but still not convinced by the manager or half the team You have to ask how many of our lot would get a look in at teams in the top 6 - about 3 I reckon

    ridiculous isn't it?
  9. and paid a fortune while having a normal life, not putting himself in line for a bomb through the post or mindless abuse and not having to listen to the likes of Ashley or FFS telling him how to do his job while depending on the actions of 11 numpties who can't remember their own names never mind whatever tactical plan he comes up with sign of sanity IMHO
  10. You ARE an optimist................. even if we were 40 points clear of relegation I would be waiting to discover that we'd broken some PL rule and were getting a 100 point deduction this is NEWCASTLE UNITED kidda - Grand opera not football
  11. and don't forget his perfect BBC accent
  12. always had good trips to Everton & Liverpool West Ham is always fun as well - people who know summat about football and have a sense of humour Stoke away - that grim s****** they used to play in - back in the 60's they besieged our goal for 89 minutes then the keeper wellied it upfield where Wyn Davies had been marooned all day, it took a weird bounce, went right over the centre half and the Mighty Wyn crashed it into the back of the net - then the whistle went for full time. Robbery with violence!!!
  13. Back in the Dark Ages, before the Motorway network was anywhere near complete, I went to Southampton by bus - left Central Station at midnight, discovered we didn't have a bottle opener on board as we left Gateshead. arrived Southampton at 11:00, got into a fight by 13:00, stuck in that shitty old ground, we were grim and got beat 3-1 back at Central at 06:30 on Sunday Not a wonderful trip TBH
  14. Millwall - just grim - carefully planned violence Chelski in the 80's - mindless violence Joker Park - just violence for depressing grounds the old Stoke ground was truly abysmal

    Shola Ameobi

he's never going to be better than a lower PL player Useful in a pinch but if we got a decent offer I'd get rid of him- he could be a hero at a Div 2 - sorry Championship - club
  16. force the two clubs to merge.................... Glasgow United
  17. Shak wrote "absolute no-brainer addition is a quality center forward" Wow! I'll bet NONE of the other 19 teams in the PL will be looking for someone like that

    Harry Redknapp

I was in Landahn yesterday - the taxi driver sounded like Redknapps brother reckoned it was a well needed reality check and that if they didn't make the CL again 'arry would be off to run England and all their stars would disappear over the summer as well

    José Mourinho

he's hanging around waiting for Mad ALex's heart attack
  20. doesn't matter - the Captain has f*** all influence I'd give it to the oldest player on the day every time
  21. we often get a result there - and they are very very fragile
  22. we can only finish in second place......... ManU must finish in the top 6 personally I'll only be happy when we reach 45 points
  23. This is the problem no one wants to be the scapegoat if it goes tits up exactly - and can you imagine the lawyers circling after a single death "well Mr Ashley, you KNEW that people have been killed on terraces before but you went ahead.........."
  24. He was s***. According to nufcblog he cost us £40 mill and scored 30 goals. That's some expensive goals. Owen is good when he got a midfielder that is able to thread the breakthrough passes he needs. But Owen is not the kind of player that stands out if the rest of the team has problems. Then he's the weakest link. One expects more from a player that is paid £100 000 a week. A player on that salary must be a notch above the rest, delivering good football even though the rest have problems. But he was just as bad as the others when we went down. He was in fact invisible. That c***! His goalscoring record was something like 1 in every 2.5 games, hence the fact I put 'when fit'. There is no doubt he exagerated injuries, didn't want to play for us and was only interested in horses and England. However, I'm trying to not let my hatred for the man get in the way, there has been far worse players for us IMO. agreed - just a lazy git
  25. still, we've thrown away points against gash sides at home - it could have come back to bite us but it looks instead that it will mean we'll finish outside the Top 7
