absolute hogwash of the highest order. if you sign a contract you stick to it if you expect the other to stick to their side. lets say he was s***, would he have admitted it and said, "nah sorry newcastle, i've been s***, you shou;ld be well within your rights to slash my pay"...but no it doesn't work that way. the club have to pay him as per contract regardless of performance...he shouls fulfill his side of the contract likewise. So what would you like him to have done then. Have a guess. Bummed him senseless?

98/99 was class, must have been the shiniest kit every worn by a football team, I loved it at the time. 2002-03 was smart as well, good memories of when we wore it against Juve. How horrible was the 97/8 one, I remember the goalkeeper kits in that year were equally as horrendous!

Was funny seeing people driving around beeping their horns draping flags out the window as if we'd won the fucking league Class atmopshere, was right next to the away fans, they deserved all the grief they got!

Bizarre. Shay stuck with us through many years of mid-table mediocrity even though he could have easily got into most Top 4 squads. He's not a Newcastle fan, he isn't required to stay with us forever, he left for a better offer as a lot of people do in their jobs. He wants to be playing Premier League football next season, I can hardly blame him. Shay gave us excellent service when he was here, he was a model professional, let's remember that instead of making childish jibes about why he left; he left probably a good few years later than he rationally should have. Players are ultimately in it for themselves, they owe very little to us- I hope he has a decent career.

They like showing lower league opposition at home to PL sides so I doubt they'll show us. TV games will be Merseyside derby, Hartlepool v West Ham, Cardiff v Arsenal and if they've got any balls Torquay v Coventry (will probably be Man U v Spurs though) I reckon.
