You could see his reaction after he won the penalty, he wasn't celebrating he was pretty embarrased. Shame, as it ruined his best performance for us.

There was a good article going about over the weekend stating that Walcott was an example of everything that is wrong with youth systems in our country. All about pace but little technique. Walcott is exceptionally quick, but never seems to use skill to go past players and so far there has been zero end product.

Must be one of the few who thinks Fabregas is overated, his all action approach tends to hide some of the technical weaknesses in his game. He sees a lot of the ball in the game but he also gives the ball away a lot, his shooting is poor as reflected by his goalscoring record and as some have noted he hasn't exactly perfected his tackling skills yet. He is young so these can improve significantly, but I just think some are getting carried away with all the media hype once again.

There is no point in picking a player who you don't believe is good enough, even if they are in excellent form. McClaren obviously doesn't think Nolan is up to it at the top level.

I didn't think Blackpool would ever get it. The super casino is largely going to be for the affluent A, B type socio economic groups, and ideally will be used by rich foreigners as much as possible. It was highly unlikely that these people would travel to Blackpool just to go to the Casino. Blackpool is family based lower middle class destination, not the sort of people who generally go to Casino's and not the sort of people you want to be going to the Casino's either. The Casino would pretty much be a failure if it was in Blackpool, it just wouldn't get enough wealthy punters. The Dome was by far the best option business and financial wise, but with the controversy over Prescott and the fact that The Dome is already been redeveloped, it obviously missed out.

I love it when people say they are happy that certain players have joined, despite the fact that they know virtually nothing about them. Still at least it's one additional body in a position we a desperately shot in, now all we need is just another 3 players within the next 36 hours, easy.

Did you not watch him the 18 months before he came to us? That was why people didn't want him, he was just about the worse defender in the premiership the season before he joined us. He was living on the hype of a good first half of the 2000-01 season and the fact that Ipswich did incredibly well.

Viana was supposed to be Speed's replacement, but SBR's never had the confidence in him to put him in the middle. As for Bramble, I don't know anybody who was actually happy we had signed him, and what has occured since then has been so predictable.

SBR had the chance to become a legend here, but in all honestly blew it after we made it into the top 4. All the squad needed was some fine tuning and we could have been realistic title contenders. Instead we bought in the likes of Bramble, Viana and Bowyer when we needed proven quality defenders.

Thuram was a good shot, although I think he could proberly go to a number of other more high profile clubs than us.
