No he didn't. He said he personally prefers a manager who's style it is to talk to his players rather than Rafa's more clinical style, but said Rafa was brilliant for him.

Ball watching is not a good trait. No idea what he's doing as not seen the clip but not necessarily a problem that he isn't looking at the ball.

Yes - we (NUST) launched a campaign for exactly this earlier this year. See: https://nufctrust.co.uk/loyalty-points/ See text below. At the end of January hundreds of loyal Newcastle United supporters took the decision to end their relationship with their football club in the form of cancelling direct debits which pays for the season ticket. Thousands of others have been forced into this decision over the years because of decisions made by the owner of the club. Currently Newcastle United operates without transparency. Communication from the owner and the Managing Director is negligible and very few fans feel confident in the future of the club under its current owner. At the Newcastle United Trust we remain open to working with Newcastle United to become a community orientated football club which is run in the interests of supporters, not the owner or his other business interests. We would like to begin dialogue with the club and aid the people running it as much as we can. The club to date has shown no interest in working with us, but we remain hopeful that should the club be sold in the near or distant future that new owners would be keen to engage with the Supporters Trust and its members for the good of Newcastle United and its supporters. With this in mind the newly installed Supporters Trust board would urge fans who have cancelled season tickets to send proof of loyalty points to the Supporters Trust. In the event that the club was sold the Supporters Trust will lobby the new ownership to reinstate loyalty points of fans willing to return to the club. While there are no guarantees of new owners in the near future for any football club, it would be hoped that the loyalty of supporters would be recognised by a new owner willing to communicate with the fan base for the good of the football club.

It's just the entrance that's known as that and has been for years to differentiate between this old entrance and the newer glass entrance opposite which is the main reception / entrance point.

lowest attendance for opening home game of the seaon for how many years? It will creep up. 43,546 there against Aston Villa in 2010 in the PL. Season before 36,944 against Reading in the Champ.

The legal set up and rules of the Trust mean that any conflict or interest must be declared. I'll send you a PM on the specifics but happy to take this away and look in more detail.

Yes, and thanks.

I’ve been too busy to respond to this thread recently. When I get the time to do so I will. The obsession with Steve Wraith is weird mind.

He’s one of a board of many, people need to get over this obsession with him. His contacts and reach have been invaluable to the board over last six months.

Some strategy decisions will be made by the Board, some will be put to members- and if you don't like what is being done you can vote members off the board at the AGM. You can't run a trust organisation with everything being done by vote of 5,000+ people, nothing would ever get done. That's why we have a board giving up a hell of a lot of their spare time to build a functioning trust. There is no crossover with the Board of the NUST and The Magpie Group, I resigned from TMG for a number of reasons and that was before I joined the board of NUST. NUST have a place on the pointless fans forum which have been very critical of but as NUST - nobody on the board has a role there in any other capacity. We have a good range of people on the board and so far it's working very well and really no ego issues (yes, even with Steve Wraith). Steve's contacts have been invaluable really in building the trust back up. Plenty of info on the website but I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Boycott the club period.

How I read his tweets was that Ashley wanted another £50 million up front so same price but they were obviously paying over instalments and they were paying maybe £100 million at first then £100 million a season for the next 2 years with a final £50 million payment (this is just an example I have no idea what any arrangement would be). But now he is wanting £150 million up front. Surely that wouldn’t be a show stopper for BZG if the reports of their assets are true. Would be if they didnt think it was worth that much. I can afford to pay £20 for a coffee but I'm not going to. Not really analogous given what he said was about payment structure not overall price/cost. True enough. I'd just skipped to the last post and assumed it was one of those "they can afford it so just pay it" type posts that regularly appear at transfer and takeover times.

Nowt new, just commentary on where things are.

He’s not in any way connected to the coaching setup. He’s just a friendly face to go check on the kids and make sure they’re being looked after etc. He was never on crazy money while he was a player. He needs to work like a lot of players at that level do when retired.. what’s he going to say.. Ashley is an arsehole on live tv? Yeah that’ll get him the job.. We’re supposed to be one of the best supporters in the country yet we turn on former players and on each other at the drop of a hat. It’s mental. How did we ever expect to force Mike Ashley out if we could never stay united on a single thing? The sooner this takeover happens the better, for our mental health if anything ? Shola is a comfortable millionaire, he doesn't need to work. He's a clever bloke, articulate and sensible. Good luck to him in his new role - he'll play an important role for those at the club in their early years of pro contracts.
-
Nothing has changed. This is his last power play to get the club to compromise. If they don't he has a decision to make on carrying on with the status quo or walking away. We're talking about a world class manager here, not Alan Pardew or Mark Hughes. If he walks no one can blame him. As Kevin Keegan said, you cannot work with these people. Some of those people may be gone but the incompetent common denominator remains.

We should know better as well. Sorry. As long as it's not Carlsberg. The new so called 'Pilsner' still tastes like p*ss water.
