  1. He's not very good at defending, which is brilliant because if he was he certainly wouldn't be here. Schar is a good defender. Very good at times, in fact. He really isn't. He is good at aggresive interceptions at that is about it, he gets caught out of position a lot but gets away with it in our three man set up with relatively deep wing backs making a 5 when defending. Wouldn't have him anywhere near my team in a back four. Great on the ball, lovely passing range. Decent finisher.

  3. How do modern posters on this forum still not realise that players will never come out and slag off their manager and paymasters (apart from very extreme circumstances when things have totally broken down)?!! I worked for some absolute dickheads but even I can recognise I'd be in the s*** and get sacked (fined / frozen out) if I slagged them off in public and in the press. Some of the subsequent post Rafa understanding of how football and world works have been a disgrace.
  4. First time he's trained with the group, not just doing rehab drills. Hardly one to cite.
  5. Should be nothing to do for a manager at this point id they've done their job properly.
  6. Few reports flying around that one of our lot was stabbed after the game and has passed away. Horrficly awful if true.
  7. Just means they still have to be registered at the club with and The FA or else any one from any team would be eligible.
  8. But that's not what happened in my opinion. Lascelles didn't impede him or stop him getting a shot away, Kane decided to lean and use the contact to throw himself to the floor looking for a penalty. That contact doesn't take him down without him going looking for it. These decisions go either way. If given I doubt VAR would have over turned it, but not a clear and obvious error.

Nobody is suggesting that at all. You just lack a fundamental understanding of how football clubs, players and the media etc. work.

What a load of shite man. This is the club that give its manager a formal written warning for talking about transfers in an interview.

Player in toeing party line of people that pay his wages shocker.
  12. Never knew that. Who’s the land owner? Civil Service Sports Club.
  13. Club doesn't own the land the training ground is on. Never has.

    Joelinton

His fundamental point is correct. It's too early to judge him. Big pressure, being played out of position in a role he isn't used to in a team devoid of any clue what they hell they are supposed to be doing.

I don't want to go all RTG, but they're both clearly mackems. Both joined when the takeover was falling apart (CDM 1st) just to stir it up and now they just dig out the fans/club. Which considering most of us are doing so anyway is fairly pointless.... ok test me on anything you like an nufc fan would know. Also I've seen him at away games before What was Nevilles wife called in auf weidersehen pet?

  17. Shearer can f*** off with that - let’s blame the foreign lad who was actually quite good under a proper manager He's right to point it out though. It was the same last week a huge gap from the midfield and forwards, absolutely no possibility to create anything when nobody moves or keeps within a good distance to support. But, in fairness we can see it, Shearer can see it, Bruce obviously cant because he allowed it to happen again. My opinion is he should drop the formation, and stop trying to adopt what the players were doing under Rafa, because Bruce isnt Rafa or as meticulous as the man. Personally I'd go 433 and give Joelinton some support either side with ASM and Almiron. And drop Ritchie playing as a fullback, as ugly as it sounds I'd put Dummett back there. He was going on like it was the players fault though, didn't even mention Bruce is the one telling them how to play, i hope Shearer isn't a Bruce sympathiser. They're mates, so he's not going to lay into him. Did the right then telling him not to take the job. Bruce is a symptom not the problem.
  18. Could have been a pen to Man City, Skipp pulling Laporte's shirt just before the so called handball.
  19. He was hired because no manager worth their onions and with any credibility would touch the job and we needed someone with three weeks to go unti the start of the season. Complete fucking joke and it lies and door of one man and one man only.
