Regardless of your opinion of Allardyce (I don't like him), it's typical of our media to create a scandal. Thought they'd give him more than 1 game before setting him up though Venables, Hoddle, Sven
-
Didn't he do really well for them at first?
-
I don't understand why they've built the new Anfield roof at an angle. Top 20 odd rows must just see a big roof in front of them in the dark. No idea why they didn't make a big open, clear top tier like at SJP

Who is that story from? Says Joey but surely not Joey Barton?
-
That English bastard Benitez
-
Said earlier it was almost as if the club was bought out and they were trying to make a point. Same with the question about overseas players
-
Media reaction to this squad is ridiculous. One on Twitter said the midfield was uninspiring without Barkley....3 months ago he'd have said Dele Alli is the most exciting England midfielder since Gazza

£20m?! Think the journalists have forgotten we've been relegated
-
Screams experienced backup to me. Be interesting how long the deal is. Most players we've signed have been players who can do a job in both Championship and Premier League but always useful to have some experienced heads at this level.

Are they waiting for Leeds to finish?

How did Man City manage to convert their ground? You'd never think that was an athletics stadium

I don't understand the big fucking gap there. How/why?!

He become a top-class CB under Rafa, one of the best in the league. Gerrard improved massively as well. He was moved to the right and become unplayable. Torres developed into a world class striker. Crouch become a very good player as well. Liverpool were so tough to beat and in Europe they could go to Barcelona away and win. Rafa's Valencia were superb to watch btw, they gave Liverpool a football lesson once and that was one of the reasons they hired him. Ayala was immense under Rafa for example. He's an amazing coach as much as he is an amazing manager, its very rare to find someone who is good at both. I'll go on record now and say he is the best all-round manager we have had, including KK and Sir Bobby! Don't agree he's better than Sir Bob, any man that can almost win the league and deliver Champions League football with a defence of Aaron Hughes, Andy O'Brien, Titus Bramble and Andy Griffin is beyond comparison. Best ever. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that was never our defence at any point in any season we qualified for the CL or almost won the league, like. Irrelevant anyway. We had a top class attack, midfield and a good goalkeeper at that point. Bobby did a smashing job but he's not in the same league as Rafa. His point still stands given fucking Nikos Dabizas played with O'Brien most of that season. Robson got too focussed on the young talents when we were crying out for an experienced centre back....we signed Bramble.

Bet the Americans will love his fist pump though
-
Devastating for his ego that no Premier League teams wanted him
-
Yeah kids kit looks great. So expensive though at £36.99
-
So pleased the kids shirt is Wonga-free. Can't wait to get my boy kitted out for the first time
-
Can understand him wanting to play in the PL but for Palace? Jesus. Disappointed in him tbh
-
Amazed that Portugal still play with Quaresma and Nani
-
Agree, don't think I've enjoyed a single game yet
-
The fucking cheek of Iceland stopping him from scoring. Ronaldo a joke tonight, shooting from every free kick?

Euro 2016 trouble - Russia handed suspended disqualification by UEFA

World Cup 2018 is going to be horrendous Awful to watch the video clips. It's one thing having a fight but for 10+ people to kick a man continuously in the head while he's lying on the floor is as disgusting as it gets. Why are the police not arresting anyone (English or otherwise)? Surely better to arrest and detain a bunch of thugs rather than spray tear gas and hope they disperse -
More likely to be a regular on Soccer AM

Some class quotes in the Chronicle about him being told he is always welcome at the training ground. Blatantly going to be like David Brent who keeps returning to the office uninvited

Feel for the Leicester fans. Hoped (not that I have any allegiance to them) that they would keep the team together for at least a year and see how they get on in the Champions League. Mahrez and Kante will be next and then they'll line up a totally different team The whole 'last big contract' is bollocks as he'd no doubt get whatver he wanted from Leicester.
