Why are people still surprised about Murphy? He'll play shite and still pull off an incredible assist/goal - he's a limited player who is effective in this team. Hopefully Elanga being here will make him more hungry to compete and push him to get even better numbers than last year. He's a fantastic pro.

I have no doubt the owners are still invested. They bought the club fighting a long 18 months battle with the EPL, they're hardly going to cash out for a 2-3x when in the grand scheme of things that's absolutely nothing to them. The execution of some of the stuff they have promised has been absolutely school boy however.

I've never seen it with this kid personally, but still his fee was £10M rising to £15M which I doubt has been achieved. If it doesn't work out a team will take a punt on him. Stansfield went for £21M and he was playing league one last season.
