  1. What must be kept in mind is that Queensland "coach" Frank Farina is a media whore, and also that while utterly incompetent, the former national team mentor has strong ties with his former charges... Sounds to me that far from choosing to come home to Australia Moore is deemed surplus to requirements and will be allowed to leave on a free. And to think they gave Bumble a new contract  I cant believe that his choice would be to go back home to play. As someone once said, "you're a long time retired" and he'd regret it for the rest of his life imo if he chose to go home next season rather than stay on for another season in the big time however shite we may be next season. Im not his greatest fan but he is definatly one of our best centre halfs if not THE best.
  2. I would probably reckon your better off planning your holiday to be in Newcastle on either Sat the 10th Feb Liverpool H or Sat 3rd of March Middlesborough H. If you plan ahead tickets wont be too hard to come by and these games will give you an all round better experience of Newcastle the club and the city.
  3. It'll be possibly one of the easiest things you will ever do in your life mate, you will probably have the choice of about 30,000 different seats, sadly.
  4. Slightly off topic, been to Toronto once for a week, f**kin amazing place and would move there in a heartbeat given the chance.

    Owen's future?

I reckon we will get 3-4 decent seasons from him but must agree that the whole footballing world seems to have forgotten Michael Owen and the fact WE have got him.
  6. I wouldnt be worried about the 93.1% white thing. In the city centre (which I presume is where you'll always be) almost everwhere you look there will be people from every race. For everyone else re the Metro Centre thing, anyone else notice how the media always dismiss the Metro Centre and call Bluewater the biggest shopping centre in Europe??......"no those little northeasterners, how could they ever have the biggest shopping centre in Europe"

    New Songs

Great song just a shame its not a stayer, after we get knocked out its gone forever.
  8. Im sure he hands Shearer a Lucozade bottle and Shearer just grabs it and completely ignores him trying to look cool for the camera.
  9. I remember it like yesterday, I was listening to it on the radio and when we went a goal down so I decided I wouldnt resist my bodies effort to go to sleep thinking we'd get buried. I then wake up just after full time, delighted to find out we'd won but angry to have missed all the excitement! :wullie:
  10. You can bet the corporate seats will be swelled by cockney/manc glory hunters tho, some of them will probably be geordie an aarl.
  11. Gets sung numerous times at every away game, not so much at home, its at its best when sung just after we score away from home imo full gusto.....................pure class.
  12. Is it just me or do we seem to suffer from an injury crisis year after year, practically every season for us is destroyed by injuries.
  13. Great photo mate thats definately a keeper! Glad you enjoyed it.
  14. His corners and free kicks are poor but I've thought he's been doing well recently in general.
  15. That's a great idea for you to do.I'll watch you game against Reading and I would really like it to see you guys jumping in the rhythm of the "pippi longstocking jumping song'' like we do in Frankfurt. The fact is that attitudes at stadiums in England and Germany are very different. There are a few reasons why we could never have the whole end jumping like you lot: 1. Behind the goal at Frankfurt is obviously a recognised place for the 'singers' to congregate - We have no such area to do this as the hardcore suppoters are scattered amongst families etc. 2. It is illegal to stand on masse during the match at Premiership games - yes we do it at away from home but at home it simply would not happen.
  16. Anyone else witness this? In the Leazes, grown men fighting over free scarves! Basically a load of the turnstyles ran out of scarves so there was a big scrap on to get them, a massive mob cornered a steward who was clinging on to a box of them like it was his pay packet! people were just diving in for them. Owt for nowt I suppose.
  17. Seriouisly? Im a scouser who lives in north shields, but driving to liverpool today, i had that centuary on, and they said there was a good take up for tickets. I havent got a liverpool season ticket, but go every match. Didnt bother ordering a ticket for today as i thought i could pay in. Anyway got here and was lucky to pick a ticket up off one of the lads, total sell out. I reckon newcastle will be close to the same. I know me wife is going as she doesnt get the chance for league games. How much were liverpool charging? it looked a full house on the telly. Surely not £20 a ticket though? Yes £20 notes mate, loads of people there that dont usually go, a lot of kids as well which is a good thing, for games like that we should be selling kids tickets for about £5. yea i think all clubs should do that, like has already been mentioned on here before, if kids tickets were only a fiver im sure we would have had at least another 5k if not more Think king harry gave slightly the wrong impression - there weren't any kids tickets for sale as such, only adult and child tickets for £30. Great turnout and it highlights the general apathy around this place as we would normally match anybody for crowds in league cup games. Anyhoo speaking of attendances I remember Liverpool got 33,000 against Pompey for a league game two seasons ago was there a big reason for this?, just seems strange that Liverpool can get 42,000 last night in the cup but such a low crowd for a league game?.
