With the importance of NUFC to the city and region especially post takeover, you would think they would get priority over everything when it comes to land in the city. Surely it would cost pif peanuts to buy all the land on the potential sites and keep it dormant until if and when they start to seriously look at their stadium options.

I remember standing at the gates on the corner of the Millburn/Leases in 95 against QPR trying to get any glimpse we could when Beardsley nestled one in the stanchion and we all burst into the ground during the celebrations. You talk about Man City sharing a city but Greater Manchester is about two and a half times the size of Tyne and Wear which we share with another team also. 60-65k with a winning team, sure. I have doubts that we could fill 70-80k consistently. I'd prefer an expanded Gallowgate and a redesign of the East stand to bring capacity up to 60-65k I think that is a more realistic capacity to fill week in week out.
