  1. Really is.. Oh to be have been born Brazilian or German eh. German and Bayern fan lucky sods.
  2. Personally think its prevalent at all levels, just more visible and sizeable at international level (and England aren't alone in that imo). The whole nationalistic element maybe adds something to it. Throw in flag wavers and those desperate to be still fighting battles long since fought and it just makes it more focused maybe. Have seen nasty stuff at grass roots, junior and club level all over the place. Agree that our place was getting way better than it was (late 70s/80s was toxic and organized), not been in years though (cheers fat Mike). sad state of affairs' but there are still many who hate anything that isn't their norm or things that are different...fueled well by sections of the press and media (well done Mr. Murdoch you cnut)
  3. Very nervous and all the more so now I realise this is on ITV and not the BBC! Ludicrously superstitious I know but can't help it. Hate England being on ITV exclusively for huge games like this. Roy feckin Keane...No!!!! Something nagging at me that the fates are aligning for the Danes to win this whole thing in honour of Eriksen. Plumping for Danes by 2 clear goals: at my most pessimistic.
  4. And that my friend is the problem! We are masters at the fucking up.
  5. Fat Mike and Bruce preparing to monitor...
  6. Mr Cliche. McCoist is good fun though. For a plastic mackem.
  7. Ashley Cole doesn't come across as very bright or engaging at all. Very poor addition to this panel.
  8. Aye I think so. That's not quite right is it, did he mean semi finals maybe? Not sure if they have done that twice?
  9. Heart says Denmark, head says Welsh They seem 'tournament lucky'.
  10. BBC for me every day of the week. Quite like Neville though.
  11. Sweden look a very decent unit all around. Some quality in most areas...a very tricky opponent who wouldn't surprise me if they went very far.
  12. Fancy Ukrainian side to do well aye. Always makes a tournament seeing the Dutch in the orange but have a feeling they are lacking class all over the pitch. Been very unlucky with injuries mind.
  13. Don’t mind a good solid challenge or hard tackle (ooh err) but the niggly nasty stuff off the ball and sly stuff gets up my bugle. and Alioski seems a master at it. Have a connection to young lad at Leeds who has said to family recently that he is a ‘character’ and a bit of a ‘nutter’ …underestimating by some distance I suspect.
  14. Normally root for the underdog but sorry this bunch seem a right bunch of dicks. Well over aggressive being led in particular by Alioski who seems an utterly vile creature
  15. Phillips was excellent throughout. Seems a likeable lad too. Cracking result, delighted
  16. That's a very fair and good point about runners and players coming deep. For me Kane needs to be told to do his work across the width of the 18 yard box...the opponents not ours. Been coming far too deep of late and quite simply he doesn't need too with what we have available to support him.
  17. I would have went Shaw or Chilwell at LB and Coady for Mings(don't rate him much at all tbh) Other than that it could have been a lot worse given Southgates natural conservative approach to things. Don't get the knocking of our squad. All countries have stronger departments than others most of the time. Very rare for a full team to be brimming with the best fullbacks, centre halves, midfielders and forwards a country has ever had. Even the great West German sides of the 70s had weaker areas than others. Would I want a Moore, Ferdinand,Terry or Adams available ...of course but our best centre halves are more than decent enough, if fit and in form. All in all I think we are in a decent position to push for a semi final place, we won't be we could!
  18. They did didn't they, and without one or two key players and almost certain first pick 11. Love Tielemans myself, classy player. Leicester have a superstar in the making on their hands.
  19. Hope Southgate goes into this with a positive mindset in his team selection. Would be nice to see some attacking intent and really stamp our authority on the tournament. 3 defensive midfielders it is then
  20. He's one of the few I don't mind tbh. Don't like Pearce as a commentator at all but I think they both sound quite shocked (understandably)
