Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Ibox me, I’m going to give you the forums idiot hat. Hilarious from the Stifmeister. We have so many talented youngsters coming through it's actually quite hard to pick just the 11, and hopefully only going to get tougher for Southgate as the lads develop and mature as players. For once the optimism seems well founded, that with a bit of luck we could actually get to a final and be in with a rel shout of winning something in the next few years...

Over a prolonged and significant period of time, Beardsley is the greatest player I have witnessed playing for us. Others have performed as well over a shorter time span, but for longevity he is the best for me.
-
Time he was retired: he's fucking garbage.
-
Totally, and judging by some of the replies on Twitter he'll be shitting himself now the little scrote. The newspapers have also picked up on it now so he'll be gaining even more attention. Not a great day for 'football fans'. Idiot on the pitch having his 5 minutes of 'fame': No idea what possess anyone to do that (other than several pints of carling black label) The guy on social media is just vile beyond description; utterly vile. Hope he ends up in serious shit.

Certainly more backbone than a number of our lot. Though hard to equate; the lure of the PL and all it's glittering gold is a tempting sight that maybe is understandable for many to give up? And maybe the feel good factor of winning matches in the Chumpionship as well... Personally think that's bollocks but may be an excuse for some...apart from the opportunity to get out the house and 'away' from the wife obviously, and the lack of anything else on the planet to do with your time. -
Exactly right. Been watching those years back and they were unreal. We were completely spoiled watching that football, it was immense. Tried to get myself in the mood for our last match by watching the highlights from the 95/96 season and it had the complete wrong effect. Instead of getting me up for the match it just made me realise how utter boring and shit it is now. We will never get those days back. Same here. The whole Keegan era was a magical ride. For me it's: Keegan Harvey Robson Benitez That's how highly I regard Rafa; he deserves to be alongside our legends. When he leaves it will be devastatingly depressing.

Win by 1 goal Fancy a 2-1 victory. -
Your doctors surgery will reopen tomorrow, I would get yourself down there.

Spot on. No significance to the fee at all for the lad, as you say bog standard for a player of his ability in the market today. Hope the lad shines whilst with us and whilst under Rafa. Wonder which utter cretinous Neanderthal will 'freeze' him out once rafa goes my monies on a return of the King or Hughes :'(

sweet 16

He's probably ran away and not signing anymore. It has taken a suspiciously long time ... Can officially call this one OFF. Were saying it will be finalised tomorrow on SSN. In the hope of a late swoop by another club...
-
Na I can't see it. Not a big enough club And we are?? They have actually won something, actually a couple of things, since we last ever did. More than good enough for him to consider a similar project to what his intentions here are/were imo. Potential at that club we simply don't have: thanks to the fat, odious piece of shit.
-
Still the same: think it's more likely than not given our unswerving ability to shoot ourselves in the foot at every given opportunity. Shite around us may save us if anything (plus Rafa's nous) but I have little faith in our squad and obviously zero in our senior leadership. Another stagnant January transfer window and maybe another side firing their manager and who knows. Ultimately means nowt anyway.

Personally started going in early 70's with my dad. Went home and away during late 70's and 80's. Marriage #1 got in way a bit early 90's, marriage #2 meant move up north in mid 90's. Kept season ticket until 2012 but finally saw the light and gave up season ticket and taking my youngest daughter to games. Hurt like hell but I think it was right thing to do. Let's hope you are right re boycotts etc especially after we lose Rafa. -

Whilst he is sat laughing at the people chanting as he has your money (only thing he gives a shit about) and you are helping perpetuate his reign...Madness. I'm not personally ( gave up ST this season) but take your point. I'm resigned that some will never stop going so the best I can hope for from those poor soles is that they are, at least, vocal. Fair play mate. Just can't understand the mindset of those still going. Guess we have to stop the infighting though. I have said some things I regret now. Just gonna have to agree to disagree. Mind you once Rafa leaves and it's a Pards or Sherwood in charge more fans must see sense surely??? -

1-1 draw. Fucks given =0 -
Some of our fans really deserve all that Mike is bringing them.

Still sitting at a 7. More likely than not. Based on how uncreative we are in front of goal. All changes if money given to Rafa Goes higher if the fat cunt sacks Rafa.

It’s purely their only justification to keep going to the match. They know he cares, but they won’t give up their afternoon of getting out the house. There's nowt else for them to do bless them. -
Fulham losing now...

Spot on in reality. Absolutely. The bloke is being asked to produce Michelin starred meals with the equivalent of a tin of spam and a packet of dried Smash. Has he made some mistakes; of course he is human. But he bares ZERO responsibility for our current position or short comings imo. Our squad is gash pure and simple.
