  1. Humping on the cards By 2 or 3 goals. Fancy us to get 1 though..
  2. Love the bloke and love him being our manager but lets be honest. This run of form gets managers sacked. I won't be surprised if MA does it either. Unless a condition of this alleged buyout is that he remains.
  3. Fear our usual live bumming today. 1-3 defeat for me. The pace will kill us at the back imo.
  4. Bloody hell (Maybe a fair bloody hell though)...His early 'promise' has certainly vanished.
  5. He's a great man, a very, very good manager but he has his faults, weaknesses and stubborn points the same as everyone. He must know this lot are largely not good enough. Time to earn his corn and get them playing again somehow. Needs a win desperately to get some belief back amongst the team and squad. If only we can just hobble on till this bloody sale happens with maybe another win and draw from somewhere, then get a striker on loan in January, I would trust him implicitly to get it right for us in the longer term.
  6. Is he in any danger from a very vindictive Mike Ashley? 5/6 losses on the trot in today's football usually spells a degree of uncomfortable. Another loss this next week and he wouldn't would he??
  7. We really have some shite in our squad and sadly starting eleven.
  8. Really need a win today but I have been impressed overall with Silva, think he is a very decent manager, so it's not going to be an easy game. Hoping Gayle starts and is finding his feet and form again. Think a draw is most likely.
  9. Loss by narrow margin. Can't see us being spanked this season (maybe Citeh apart) as Rafa is too wily for that. It's either a 0-0 or they win. We have to address the lack of fret. Do we have no bloody young uns who are even worth a punt on? For the last hurrah of a game...We know what we get from Joselu et al, which sadly isn't much
  10. Frustrating thing for me is that with a half competent front two or attacking options we could be winning 5 of those. With our bunch of useless cunts up top we are playing with one leg tied to tother before we start.
  11. 6-9 points from that lot and we will be lucky. We won't be getting humped, but if we can't score, which on the evidence of the last games our strikers couldn't do in the proverbial brothel, then fuck me it makes them all difficult.
  12. The squad and therefore team are bereft of quality in the areas that are key. Our best and most influential player is arguably a young gifted lad who is having his first season in a British league. Save for a couple of decent (let's not get carried away that's all they are), centre halves, plus Shelvey and Ritchie the rest range from bang average to fucking piss poor.
  13. Sale goes through or we are straight back down. No one, not even a talented a manager as Rafa is can keep this turgid squad up without expenditure on at least a couple of forwards in January (even temporary signings just to score the requisite goals). And imo that only happens without MA.
  14. In the great scheme of things I care not a jot. Just gets a bit ridiculous that muppetts with a voice and a platform constantly talk and predict utter shite about us. Lwro/Merson/Le Tissier/Stelling et al The fact they get paid handsomely to do it irks.
  15. Should be winning this. 1-0 See Stelling has gone for us to lose...... again, he seems to be joining the ranks of the morons he is surrounded by. Not sure he has predicted a win for us at all so far.
  16. I cannot understand why this particular issue would be the line in the sand for some. Just goes to show, there will never be universal agreement on anything. Strip change and renaming of club would be my lines in the sand: probably think it would be the same for most of us? Would be interesting to see a poll on what we are willing to compromise on, given that if (as seems likely) we are bought by major overseas investors, history seems to suggest a few of these types of changes come as part of the price..
  17. In an ideal world it remains SJP but in all honesty if it was renamed with a brand in front and then the name SJP behind it so be it. If it means we are finally owned by people who are committed to making the club challenge and bringing in top players and managers to the club and area then again so be it. Far better a rename than a move imo. Far from being ideal but in the greater scheme of things it's a minor consideration for me and I am quite a traditionalist in many ways. I just want MA and his talent-less lackeys out, gone, cast from memory, new owners in and a new era of success for us to all enjoy. It will always be SJP to me anyway.
  18. Whatever happens it's obvious the media will try and destabilise Rafa with us by printing all-sorts of shit. last week it was Leicester in some idiotic reports and on some stupid radio phone in's. West Ham, Everton and if Klopp keeps this shit up Liverpool will all be mentioned in the coming weeks. We just have to believe that with the takeover seeming real and credible, and with Rafa seeming to actually have an affinity with us as a club, the region and most importantly with us fans then those things will be enough to make any such talk merely that: wishes of the gutter press. Only one I would actually have any worries about is Liverpool, and Klopp must be long way off any genuine talk of the sack. Everything rests on the takeover obviously.
  19. Palace : think Woy will be gone after a few more games. Swansea: seem to be not playing at all for Clement for some reason and I still think Huddersfield will fall short. Stoke look piss poor too but should have enough. Bournemouth will be there or thereabouts too imo
  20. Top eight finish with this current squad and in particular the striker options we have should see Rafa piss the manager of season award. IF a takeover happens and we can get forward options in January then different kettle of fish altogether. imo
  21. 2-1 win. Rafa will have the players sorted for Zaha and Townsend. Nullify them and we are fine.
  22. Our deficiencies are plain and until Rafa gets a chance to address them then this sort of result/performance will be the norm. Our strikers are all 'adequate' squad players and no more in this division, our keeper situation is less than ideal and we lack real quality in parts of the pitch that are key. Once we have funds from a new owner (please god/other fictitious deities...) then this utter quality manager we have will have us as a real force to be reckoned with in a short space of time imo. Until then we ride this out.
