Imagine a team winning the World Cup .......then seeing it ripped out of their hands because their last minute equaliser was offside

Personally I think he benefitted enormously from having a manager like Rafa. He got clear detailed instructions as to what to do, where to play and how to operate in CM from superb manager and responded. His performances were getting better and better by the week and he looked a million dollars. Then the manager changed and he swapped chicken soup for chicken shit. Seemingly no personal input from the gormless cunt and told to just do his thing or run about or put himself about a bit or words to that effect. Absolutely no coincidence to me that he's looked pretty dreadful since Rafa went and Bruce came in, as a young player trying to forge a career in the PL than the worst possible boss for you is the one that's currently stinking out our dugout. He desperately needs a change of club or a change of manager here if he's going to fulfil his potential, he's currently going backwards.

When you're looking to kick start your season the ideal fixture you want is Newcastle (H). Comfortable home win.

I think that lots of people (including me) forget that Hayden was bought as a squad member to get us out of the Championship 4 or 5 years ago, no more. The fact he's performing adequately in the PL is him playing at the best level he's capable of despite only costing about a million quid. He's served his purpose and given much much more than that given his limited ability. I'm not slagging the bloke, he's a nice lad and gives everything he's got and it's not his fault he's now become a squad regular half a decade after he was signed for a specific purpose. He would probably have been phased out at a better club but that's just epitomises the way this whole circus operates. Why spend money when adequate is good enough?

I'm about £45 up on the day. Nothing life changing but it'll keep me in bets for weeks and weeks that

This is exactly it, the acceptance that the top half is ruled out totally because they're all out of our league. Forget hope and having a go it's 'no chance lads, we can't compete with that lot', defeatist shite but let's not kid ourselves it comes from the very top. Ashley and Bruce are a match made in heaven, Ashley's lack of any kind of ambition matches the lack of Bruce's ability to deliver anything other than dogshit, defensive and disorganised football. An awful owner has deliberately hired an awful manager to oversee the policy - survival at all costs, zero ambition, minimal (club) cash outlay, zero investment and a cunt who'll spew the PR, on demand, to his mates in the media who refuse to criticise. It's the tacit endorsement of 'know your place, it's impossible to compete, don't hope for more, don't ask for more, not our fault, we're doing as well as we possibly can' when every fucker older than 25 knows what could be achieved by this club, given the investment and change in mentality. We're owned and run by small-time, cowardly, backward, incompetent, subservient, thick little cunts.

£5 on Toney 1+ sot 11/10 PP

God I hate the fucker. Won his league, couldn't have done any better, great season. What about attempting to join the league above? Mediocrity dressed as success, first press conference back and the cunt's wound me up already with his gormless, self-promoting bullshit. Spinning it already before a ball's been kicked, the rancid twat, uuurgh.

Boca is tremendous. Only way it could be improved is by having the yellow stripes all the way down the sleeve.

I''ll go with an 8-5 goalfest. Youtube will be ripping their skeletons out over the views. Future scholars of the game will cite it as a seminal moment in the history of the sport. A 90 minute experience that shifted the paradigm.

It's also headed shots, not just sot

Signed under the rayer-dar marra

Sad state of affairs when my immediate reaction is to think they've agreed a fee then deliberately lowballed the player to give the illusion of ambition. It would be utterly typical of these cunts and their little PR games.
-
Surely you contact the agent first and discuss this type of shit first? I know you're not supposed to but every club just does it anyway.
-
Not fair on the fans iirc

So sky have PL and Bundesliga, BT have some PL, serie A and Ligue 1 and la liga is on Premier Sports? Is that right?

Need to wait for the big, big clubs to make their moves before we look at the unwanted scraps left over in the loan market. Won't hear a peep from Bruce either, he'll do exactly as he's told to by his owners.
-
Problem he has is unless he takes a massive wage cut then his options are tiny. I'm assuming he's weighed it all up and PSG, as scummy as they are, offer him a good team, can afford to give him what he's asking for and the chance of winning leagues, cups and a genuine tilt at the CL for the next couple of years. It's not the move I'd have made personally, if I'm comfortably financially then I'd be looking for the challenge pov and accept a massive hit on wages. Sign for someone close to his heart or a club he adores back home maybe? PSG ticks most of his boxes and it's obviously the best option he has plumped for. Bit of a shit end to his career imo but it's his decision.

They've got the club they deserve. They're the reason he's still here after 15 years, misguided loyalty to a club that actively shits on them on an annual basis. Bootlicking doormats who will accept anything and pay through the nose for the privilege. I get the argument they're great fans because they support through thick and thin but there comes a point where you have to understand that you're the very reason Ashley hasn't sold up yet. That penny hasn't dropped yet for thousands. Hope they all have a thoroughly fucking shit day.

Probably the novelty of actually being able to see a game live at a lowish price will entice a few idiots. Let's see if they're still smiling at HT.

Rewarded for continuing to be Ashley's subservient fat bitch. The fact Ashley knows it'll piss off the vast majority of the fanbase is just a happy coincidence for the fat man. Still think a poor start to the season will crank the pressure up on him and he'll crumble, hopefully in public. Just means he walks away with a big lumper when his luck runs out unfortunately. This sums up the club perfectly, zero ambition, investment or hope, 17th is the target and always will be.

Everything's always a battle with him isn't it? Battle to get fit, battle to stay up, battle to stay in the cups, battle to secure a signing, the constant barrage of negativity is just bizarre. It's almost as if he knows that pushing the struggle relentlessly will hoodwink some into thinking that his repeated failures as a manager is simply down to his unlucky hand he's been dealt. This constant battle to achieve anything of note attracts sympathy from his mates in the press. It's as if he's engineering the narrative so he either 'triumphs' in the face of adversity or heroically succumbs to the constant battles he's fighting and inevitable losing. Completely ignoring the fact he's actually in charge of the team and is able to influence every single thing that he does with his squad on a daily basis and has been for 2 fucking years now. He's a horrible, sly, 2 faced, manipulative cunt.

What a rotten bit of luck...

Did Benitez walk in the last week in July? Don't think he did like. This bloke is a fucking arsehole. Bemoaning the fact his mate is compared to Benitez whilst simultaneously comparing him to Benitez as and when he chooses. This pair of cunts deserve each other.
