    Transfer rumours

Just the standard arrivals countdown game. It’s currently “hope to bring in 4”, by Tuesday it’ll be “confident of bringing in 2 or 3”, by the Wednesday it’ll be down to “confident of adding 2 more” and by Thursday lunchtime we’ll “closed for business”. We’ve been here before, we know the drill. If they had any intention of actually investing anything it would have happened by now. They’re lying cunts and absolutely no one should be surprised when they do the bare minimum. Fucking sick of it.
  2. Fucking diabolical that like, got to be said. Absolutely zero cutting edge, presence or threat upfront. Joselu gives us nothing at all, may as well play with the extra man in the middle of the park and forget about a striker totally.

    Transfer rumours

He's harvesting funds for the next manager. Armstrong was never going to contribute this season so exchanging him for money and getting him totally off the wagebill helps the next boss. Fat Sam will be thrilled.
  4. Taking the boy tomorrow, bought tickets a while ago. Wish I hadn't in hindsight but he's Newcastle daft and I want it to stay that way.

    Sunderland

I think they'll romp it. Not quite sure how authentic the wave of optimism is but I think they're capable of taking the league by the scruff of the neck and going straight back up. Not saying they will, but they probably should.

    Transfer rumours

Reckon Rafa would walk, and there would be hell on. In a perverse way, I want it to happen just so we can rid ourselves of Ashley finally. But who know, we've been here before. So hoping the rumour is bollocks. Given that's exactly what the owner seems to want is the very reason I'm sort of expecting it. Bring the cash in whilst removing, what they perceive, as the the problem in one fell swoop. It's the exact thing they'd do too. They know nothing about football. His transfer fee would be put to good use to get us promoted in 2019/20

    Rafa Benítez

Yup - he will have been slipped some cash by Bishop. https://talksport.com/football/407012/newcastle-united-news-rafa-benitez-transfers-sam-allardyce/ Don't even think he needed the cash, he's always been quite happy to have a pop at Newcastle fans as he's still got a major chip on his shoulder about how he lost his job here. He's never really got on with Rafa either and seems more than happy to stir the shit in public. He can undermine Benitez, wind up a fan base who hates him and support Ashley in one interview. He's a disgrace of a human being.
  8. It's almost as if there's been no net investment in the team or squad in a few years.
  9. I need a scapegoat. Who the fuck is to blame for this atrocity?
  10. Bet the fat cunt is loving the fact that the window closes before the first game. Ride out the storm for the Spurs match, let the anger die down and he's cush til January.
  11. I'm guessing a few tweets from Sports Direct would see those numbers take off again too.
  12. Keeping Lascelles would be like signing a new player. Would be a hell of an achievement from the club to keep hold of him.

    Rafa Benítez

Remember when Keegan gave them both barrels about knowing absolutely nothing about football?
  14. Reckon they still do those pork sarnies?
  15. Aye, it's inevitable. Not if it’s locked...

    Rafa Benítez

I think Ashley knows he can't, and absolutely will not, match Rafa's ambition for the club. One party wants the absolute best for the club and is going public in challenging Ashley do it. Ashley wants the bare minimum spend to survive, this season genuinely is the long goodbye, and the most annoying aspect of it all will be seeing Rafa's replacement being handed fucking millions to spend because he'll, whoever he is, will be vastly inferior to Benitez and he'll need to buy his way to survival rather than manage, organise and coach his team like Rafa does.
  17. If that 42 million was matched with around the same in TV money we'd probably be looking at a very exciting season ahead. It's a pisstake. Absolutely. Just trying desperately to see it from Ashley's point of view. He'll think. "hang on, you've raised 40m+ from players who didn't even figure in the team that finished 10th last year. I've let you spend that 40m making that team even better so went do I need to give you more?" The idea of actually 'investing' doesn't even cross his mind. Just get by, do just enough to survive, squeak through, cross your fingers, hope 3 teams are worse, spend in January if absolutely necessary etc. We've been here time and time again with this cunt. He needs to fucking do one or fucking die
  18. 22m or more for a player who was never going to feature for us this season is decent going. It's basically free money and if the whole lot is spent buying someone who will contribute to the team then it's fair play. Moving on Merino, Sels, Mbemba and Mitrovic for about 42m is good going. Their contribution last season was virtually nil. The annoyance is the fact that the owner sees that 42m as enough to get by on.
  19. Knowing Wulbert I know every word he's said there is true. To some it may sound like a bit of a line, a cheap gag and a pisstake. It's not. It's soooooo fucking not a joke.

    Sunderland

That's even worse then. A single random choosing that is bad enough, if thousands have taken the time and effort to select that heap of fucking dogshit it's absolutely lifting. Couldn't be more embarrassing for them collective.

    Sunderland

So the bloke who created that XI has supported his team for half a century and still picks Kevin Ball, Phil Beardsley and Gary fucking Bennett as the best he's ever seen? Wow, it's hideous beyond belief

    Matz Sels

Again, shifting on players who aren’t going to make any contribution to the squad or team seems to be the key. Essentially swapping Sels for Dubravka is another great bit of business. Was never going to work out for Sels once he got dropped and everyone involved needed him to move on. Utterly forgettable player who never appeared often enough to warrant any other emotion that apathy.
  23. Hard to find fault with Mbemba out and Schar in whilst turning a few million profit in the process when you look at it in isolation. Mbemba wasn't going to make any contribution this season realistically and this lad almost certainly will, in some ways he's like an extra free player. The lad hasn't had any say in the low fee and he's presumably buzzing at the move and every single one of us want him to settle and do well. That said, it's fucking pathetic that we need to sell to buy first. It's a ridiculous situation to be in and complete bullshit. Pleading poverty while the rest of the other clubs in the top flight go and get the players they want to push on. They want to progress, they want to get better and they're prepared to spend to so it. With us everything is just "that'll do". Absolutely fucking sick of it man.

    Chancel Mbemba

Money in the till, happy days. That’s what football is all about.
