The fact he's put a transfer request in suggests he's probably genuine about wanting to leave to get back down south. Players and agents never stop talking to each other and it's telling that only a handful of the entire squad want to stay. They'll be telling their mates at other clubs what goes on there and what is like, yeah some will go there if enough money is offered but he's already painted himself into a corner by telling every cunt the players don't want to be there but they won't budge on their valuations. They’re at that stage where they all want it to happen so badly that the only reason for posting about it is purely to convince each other that it definitely WILL work purely because they WANT it to. Remember people being in absolute awe of Schmeichel's long throws when he first burst onto the scene. He could release the likes of Giggs really quickly and set up attacks from nothing. Coupled with his outrageous ability to get himself looking huge on a one on one and his ability to organise his back 4 he was outstanding. I'd even go so far as to say he probably revolutionised the position and how's its played.

Last summer's pot of cash came at the end of a championship season so we only got championship money. This summer we'll get Premier league money and next year will be the same. "Every penny the club generates" should mean significantly more than last summer. Know it's a cliche here but he has no excuses for not backing him, I didn't like last summer but could sort of follow the logic. No excuses at all, guaranteed PL cash this summer and next and if Rafa is backed you can probably guarantee it for each year he's here. Just back the manager ffs.

It’s a genuine chance for them to rip the club up and start again mind, got to be said. It’s potentially a new, clean slate with no manager, no CEO, loads of players to be sold or moved on, new league and new owners with no debt.
