Gan on then.

And Harewood, van Arnholt, Khizanishvili too. Looking at the standard of the league we should piss it if most of the squad remain. 'Should'.

Given that Benitez has signed on then I'm thinking that he's fine with fairly big footballing decisions like this. I'd imagine this was one of the things that Rafa is cool with and if he's ok with it then so am I. Feels very unnerving but I'm happy to place my trust in the bloke 100%.

Got no doubt that Ashley sees Benitez as the best way to protect his investment, no more. Delighted he's agreed to stay but it'll take more than this for Ashley to come close to convincing me he's got the clubs best interests at heart.

Massively tempted to get a season ticket for me and the boy next season. It's a complete sea change in the direction the club's headed and could, could be the start of actually moving the club forward. It's an excellent appointment and it's good to have a bit of hope and interest again. Baby steps but it's all there potentially.

Even allowing for a decent bit of tolerance the Milburn would need to be about 400 yards heigh. Don't think the numbers add up. .

Bearing in mind that horrible wonga shit would be one every shirt design we have then all they needed to do was lose the gold and replace it with black or white. Job done and it would have been pretty good, the gold looks shit.

Aye, I'd be surprised if that's not it tbh. Not quite as hideous as the last few but it's still frustrating how they just can't get it right by making it plain and simple.

I'd be very sad to lose Townsend, he'd tear the Championship apart. Lascelles, Mitro, Dummett and Perez I hope we keep, but won't be that sad to see either leave. The rest can f*** off. Yeah there are players I'd rather keep than sell on but honestly I'm not overly bothered about any of them. The squad needed to be gutted irrespective of the division we found ourselves in. Complete overhaul needed. Towards the end of the season Lascalles not only played well but became vocal, on and off the pitch, showing signs of becoming a leader. I'd like to keep him for that, we need a spine, we need leaders. We've had none for years. Agree totally, I'd prefer Lascelles to stay and a few others too but I'd still argue none of them are irreplaceable.

Krul and Wijnaldum fucking off the somewhere else for a certain amount of money won't cause me a single second of missed sleep. Don't think there's a single player at the club who you'd class as "irreplaceable".

The only club that actually applied for promotion this year was Bishop Auckland. Shildon romped the league but had no intention of going up as the players had no intention of arriving back from Colwyn Bay at 3 o'clock on a Sunday morning, from a footballing perspective they'd be more than a match for a lot of the teams in the league above but the will, and the cash to fund it, just isn't there.

The Northern League is excellent, thoroughly enjoyable. The standard is decent and I wish more people would actually go to games. Well done Peth

I think having Ferguson constantly looking on from the stands is holding them back tbh. A constant reminder that the success he gave them is the yardstick to which the current incumbent will be measured. Every time Man U let a goal in under Moyes the camera would pan to a disappointed looking Ferguson in the crowd, he was on a hiding to nothing. Not looking forward to the prick dominating the fawning media either, deliberately creating controversy and winding folk up. They can get fucked.

Couldn't have gone better. Give him a bit of hope by staying in it, see that careful management gives them a real chance, see Man U hit the woodwork a couple of times raising his levels of excitement as he thinks "it's my day today". Brings off cabaye and sends baller punch on who makes an immediate impact, "they'll laud me for that sub" he thinks, he goes into overdrive and dances, actually fucking dances when the camera pans to him, give gives it the beans. Chest pumping (not fucking hard enough for my liking) he milks it for 3 or 4 minutes, he thinks he's done it, he pictures himself with the cup and the tales he'll invent to embellish his own reputation. Then they score, he's crestfallen and feeling aggrieved but it's not over, they could still win it, his troops need to be rallied- time for him to make his mark. It's cagey, tight, tense and one big moment is going to decide it. Smalling off! This it is, down to 10, hope ignited once more, bullish on the touch line, they're in the box seat now, "let's facking boss it now", but they concede. He's broken. He's lost and he's made an absolute cunt of himself in the process. The whole country is laughing at him for that stupid fucking dance. Suddenly the 2 wins in 21 stat could raise its head again and he's lost a cup final again. Defeat from the jaws of victory. What a colossal cunt. Get the fuck in.

Aye, get used to it after a while. Had the gentle ribbing about how 'Rafa couldn't beat the teams around him, no bounce, took you down, failed' shite which is fair enough tbh, it's what football fans do. He seemed a bit surprised to be reminded that Allardyce lost 7 of his first 10 games shipping 19 goals in the process. Fuck it, it all equals out, life will get him back in the end.

Well that's rather nice.

The only possible thing they could potentially have been complaining about is seeing a flag go up and hesitating. Not even sure that happened but there's nothing wrong with the goal, fuck 'em.
