Ashley does what he does because he knows that the people currently attending will continue to attend, sit in silence, give him no stick and meekly put up with it whilst still stuffing money into the coffers that's never going to be used. Suspending him immediately whilst he was under suspicion of these crimes was totally the right thing to do by Sunderland, fair play. To see him charged with 3 counts of sexual activity with a minor and another of grooming and not reinstating the suspension is nothing short of disgraceful.
