Yey! We survived another season so we get a chance to survive another season again next year. Hurray!! Woop woop. Against the other option of "yay, we've been relegation so we get the chance to possibly come back up and then have the chance to survive again"? What do people want? Us to be a Championship club forever? With the squad we have, we're not going to be fighting for anything near the top 8 spots. I think people need to get realistic and realise this - it is going to take major improvements for this to happen. People have short memories, we were a Championship club not long ago - our club has been murdered under Ashley for years. We're not going to be magically fixed and healed the day he leaves. On this day, we are fighting relegation - forgive me if I am happy that we do. Stay up and absolutely nothing changes - guaranteed. Manager, owner, coaches, atmosphere, players, ambition - nothing will change. More of the same in perpetuity. Go down and something positive could unfold. Wouldn't mind rolling the dice and finding out tbh. Taking a few steps back to clean the dogshit off our shoes wouldn't be the worst thing in the world imo. The club will be just fine in the long term, just needs a few uncomfortable years to get rid of it's parasite first.

This is where it's at. Standard is reasonable and they actually give a fuck.

Bingo. He's Ashley's poster-boy signing. Subservient, inadequate and cheap.

Virtually begging fans not to boot off next Sunday. "I want the atmosphere we had against West Brom..... It could be the fans that ensure we maintain our PL status" Useless fucking cunt. Admitting the ones on the park have given up and aren't getting a point. He can't motivate them, they certainly can't motivate themselves into performing and it's been the case for months now. It's disgraceful. Stay up, go down. Win, lose. Score, concede. Not a single solitary fuck will be given in the midds household next Sunday either way. Fuck them.

Absolutely no way we're winning this one. Proved time and again that they're not capable of getting themselves out of the shit and our only hope of staying up is to sit and back and let Man U do the graft for us. This club is pure poison.

Would be fitting if we fall into the relegation zone in the last 5 minutes of the season and go down. We deserve to be relegated and we know exactly where the blame lies if it happens. you can still get us at 8/1 to go down. Short as 9/2 with other bookies like.

What a horrible thing to say. Absolutely.

Sincerely hope Gerrard breaks his fucking leg in the first few minutes today.

Look at them. Enjoying themselves at the match. Scum.

Find it hard to believe we've committed to any sort of transfer seeing as we don't even know what division we'll be playing in next season. Take anything that comes out with a mountain of salt.

It's incredible how quickly they've ousted him. I guess they have seen what he's done here and were wise to it, but shit I was sort of hoping Ashley would jump ship to Rangers and sell us somehow. Guess we are stuck with the cunt. The fact the Scottish FA made it obvious that he couldn't own them helped a bit too like. Good news for the Rangers fans though, fair play.

The French Colback. Available on a free, potential to "do a job" and if the worst comes to the worst they can move him on for a modest fee without losing too much in the process. He's collateral damage in the club's grand scheme of things. It'll be "fuck him, move him on for whatever we can get" just as it was with M'Biwa and Santon.

Good header but I think Stegen could have turned it around the post.

Dunno about you but I've been watching a game from the best league in the world. Sky tell me all the time. Do they? When was the last time you heard Sky say this? I can't remember a single time this season, nor the backend of last season. I imagine you are the same type of "human" that when England score a goal in a qualifier will say "thats England guaranteed to win the next 15 world cups then". please furnish me with all these examples of Sky telling you "all the time" that the Premier League is the best in the world. Thanks. Wew.

Finding it hard to hate the bloke tbh. Seems like a decent enough lad, had 2 horrific injuries and has lost nigh on 3 seasons of his (short) career because of them and is probably just grateful to be playing again. Aye, he's poor, we all know he's poor, he probably realises himself that he's not up to it but it's Carver's decision to continue picking him. The difference between him and Williamson is that at least Taylor has looked like a bit of a footballer at times during his spell here. He had a bit of craft and ability, not too much admittedly, but he hasn't looked like a competition winner. Injuries have fucked him massively and I think he's doing his best, unfortunately he's just not up to playing at this level any longer. Needs to be released and drop a division or 2.

Completely agree. Ashley wants x amount for NUFC, nobody will offer close to that for a Championship team. Ashley would never sell at a loss to himself and he would make a loss on us in the Championship as nobody would offer him near enough. Basically, he'd just sit it out however long it took and wait till you got promoted back. Deep pockets. And short arms.

QPR players are already drafting letters as we speak.

I think Hull are going down now. Now the rot's been stopped (sic) it wouldn't surprise me if we won one of our remaining games, not because we're really good or anything but we're due a win. If we win a game of football then hull need to win twice and they won't do that.

Bet the farm on Real 3-2

I liked the bits where he slags the fans off repeatedly the best. Slagging off the soft forrins was a close second.
