  1. Considering he's Spanish, a Real Madrid fan, from there and coached their reserves i very much doubt it. It really means nothing. They'll hate the football and they'll be right. Exactly. Could well be wrong but I've always got the impression that Real fans not only demand success but they also demand that success is gained in a certain way. Goals, attacking football and wiping teams off the park. Superstars playing like superstars with no margin for error.
  2. Not the finished article though... Needs to make his novice mistakes at some club where it doesn't really matter though - here.
  3. Totally disengaged at the minute, no enthusiasm, no optimism and no prospect of anything other than Carver so I'd be pleased if we took a chance. No idea if it would work out, probably not, but at least I'd give a shit again. Been ages since I cared and a change is as good as a rest at this little nadir.
  4. He'd walk into the job as player/manager even now. Don't mind rolling the dice to see what happens (but I must admit it does have car crash written all over it tbh).
  5. Ah, I see. Nnnnggghhh.
  6. I've said before (in this thread, I think), that there's probably a stadium advertising deal with SD at one pound a year for 99 years. £1 a year for 99 years. I'll dig into my pocket to pay that one off early. I think he means that SD pay £1 a year for 99 years to advertise the stadium?

    Lee Charnley

Still don't see how he can realistically appoint Carver without becoming an enormous figure of ridicule throughout the entire sport. He came out in January and said they have received 80 applications and he ignored all of them and went with Carver. We all saw the car-crash coming and it duly did. He almost relegated us with the worst run of defeats in the club's entire history in his 5 months in charge. Option 1: If Charnley chooses to make him permanent he'll be rinsed by everyone. Option 2: If Charnley is forced to appoint him because he can't find/convince someone better to do the job he'll get rinsed twice as much. The way I see it he simply must appoint someone else to avoid looking like the biggest mug on the planet. Who'd be a bigger mug - Carver or the sackless cunt who makes Carver permanent? He's got to go with someone else, he just has to.

If someone comes along and offers him daft money (highly unlikely I know) for the club then he'll sell. Everything has a price and he knows this as well as anyone. He's also a proven liar.

    St James' Park

Not very much over the course of 110 yards (or whatever) tbh! Had a little kick about on the pitch after the tour and you hardly even notice the slope. It does tail off a little towards the Gallowgate but nothing that's going to make any real difference to anything. Purely placebo stuff. Aye just wondered what it would even out as. Was hoping for some maths porn like. Steady on, pet.

Doesn't need to an exact measurement, just a rough idea. It's about 6 foot. Went on the tour last year with the boy and the bloke mentioned it. The pitch is virtually level but the advertising hoardings sink by about 6 foot from one end to the other.
  12. Makes sense, Ancelotti to West Ham, McClaren to Newcastle, Allardyce to Derby and Carver to Real. #jigsaw
  13. Exactly. Until he realises that the manager is the most important individual at the club and should be the number 1 priority when he talks about his "investment" we're on a hiding to nothing. Spending loads on quality players is completely negated by having a gormless c*** like Carver in the dugout working with them everyday. He simply doesn't understand. He's the type of bloke I'd imagine solves problems by throwing money at it and it doesn't quite work like that when it comes to running a football club. what always got me about Pardew and the 'transfer system' they have in place was that Pardew was always fighting against it as well...he was a somewhat competent manager (compared to say carver) but because he didn't believe in the system of being handed players he went out of his way to f***ing hamstring himself by either dropping them, playing them out of position, or forcing them out of the club....or all three then we get carver who will do what he's told so the system is irrelevant, he just happens to be utterly incompetent M'Biwa. Clearly never fancied him from the off and only played him when he absolutely had to. M'biwa didn't have the best of starts over here but there was no point in signing him if the manager was barely going to play him. Just need to get their heads together and talk it out. Then again it's all moot because under Ashley making a profit on players appears to be the main/only reason they come in at all. Until the needs of the team come before the needs of the balance sheet then we're all fighting a losing battle. Well, all of us apart from 1 individual... Except you can't generate profit if the players don't perform. Ashley's lost money on Santon, Yanga-Mbiwa and Ben Arfa, and probably stands to make further losses on Tiote, Gouffran and possibly Cisse. It honestly baffles me how Ashley continues to fatally undermine the importance of appointing a progressive, open-minded manager capable of working within the club's structures - it's essential, be it for getting results or generating profit off player sales The whole thing needs tying together to meet the needs of the team and squad. Parts of it are there but it's never going to work with a moron for a manager.

  16. If he's actually serious, and I don't believe a word he says, then both Charnley and Carver will be both peddled tomorrow morning. The best money he could spend would be on appointing a very good manager and allowing him to bring his own backroom team in. If he somehow managed task 1 then task 2 is to shift the shite out to whoever is daft enough to sign them and spend significant amounts of money on all areas. We're about 12+ players short of being in a position to have a pop at the likes of Everton and Southampton etc. Failure to do these things (let's be honest, he's not going to part with much is he?) will mean another struggle to stay up. rinse and repeat until we drop. Any fucker can give it the big one in a 5 minute interview, it means nothing without actions.
  17. We'll start to sit deeper and deeper as the game goes on, Hull will score and we'll shit ourselves. We'll be camped in our own box for the last 5 minutes and Nolan will score in the last minute to send us down.
  18. Scored too early. Can't see us hanging on to a lead for 35 minutes. Needed to score in the 93rd minute.
  19. More lies. No trust or faith here, he can fuck off the horrible cunt.
  20. I actually think it will. Needs to be poisonous. Best of luck to the lads at AshleyOut today too.
