It's an away goal too.

Feel totally calm and reassured after reading Cannonball Joe's latest assertions that he'll not leave. His word is his honour and that's stronger than oak.

Just Coppa Italia QFs. Had no idea Sky had acquired Coppa Italia rights. 4 quite good looking games iirc.

not for this season, doubt there would be a profit for last seasons ones considering the jan spend without that much in sales. We got money for Ba, Best and Forster and also got the likes of Smith and Xisco off the wage bill - we'll see but I wouldn't be shocked if there was enough for him to take money out again. Hasn't he already said he's not going to? Sure I read he cancelled the next 'installment'.

Shit anyway.

Never mind his talent can he run and jump? Has he got a tackle and does he track back? Priorities.
-
Shit just got real.

Palace, Fulham & West Ham at this stage for me. Bad year for London.

That's just as fucking bad!

That's a red.

I've not know a Newcastle manager to have to field so many questions about our players leaving since the Carroll nonsense. Whether that be Jose, Barton, Ba, Tiote, Coloccini, Yohan... I don't think it's because Pardew wants to talk about it particularly, it's just the first lazy question every journalist asks when players are doing well, or in the case of Colo, rumours of a juicy story just won't die. He fields so many questions because he's happy to give an answer. Wenger was asked about transfers yesterday and refused to answer, that was the end of it. Yep, there's a simple solution to it. A simple solution? Managers can't be expected to continue to avoid questions about their players. Wenger is no different. Did he refuse to talk about Van Persie etc potentially going at the time. No, of course he didn't. A simple "I'm not prepared to discuss individual transfers, in or out, of this club." would suffice. If the media or other fans didn't like it then I wouldn't care in the slightest.

Dives way before any contact is made. He's fucking going a yard before he gets to the fucking keeper. It'll be whitewashed though because Suarez doesn't do that any more, remember?

Every single thing associated with Liverpool football club turns my stomach. No redeeming features at all about the entire organisation.

'Shola on' is a shocking substitution regardless of opposition, scoreline or player he's replacing. The fact he's our automatic Plan B to either get back into a game or hold things tight is embarrassing. He simply shouldn't be playing top-flight football.

They do like. Literally. You know what I mean though. They guarantee you a point a game but having 20 clean sheets doesn't mean you've had a good season, it's a good indicator but winning by 3 with no clean sheet is always going to be better than winning by 2 with a clean sheet.
-
Win by 2 or win by 3? Erm, win by 3 please. Clean sheets don't win you points, West Ham have got 9 of them ffs.

This is pretty much where I'm at too. He was phenomenal for a short while and gave every CB pairing he faced massive problems, few could handle him. He went for a massive amount of money and it's turned to shit. He'll look back at that deadline day as a crossroads in his career and it went to shit for him. Maybe there's a player still in there but he looked a shadow of himself since he moved on. Not our problem to worry about any more though. I do wonder how much is it down to motivation, he clearly loved being the focal point of our attack and played with that much more drive and determination to fill the no 9 shirt. Just seems to me he lost that hunger once he left We'll never know but that seems very plausible to me. From #9 at his boyhood club and in fantastic form to having to prove himself with a £35m pricetag around his neck overnight. Meh, you make decisions over the course of your life and live with the consequences of them.
