  1. Great finish, gave Hart no chance.

Just 6 league wins and 27 points in 2013.

    David Beckham

Why though? I honestly don't get the grief. He still racked up over 700 career appearances so it's definitely a case of 'as well as', as opposed to 'rather than'. I just prefer footballers to keep themselves to themselves and go about trying to be the very best footballer they can be. To become famous for doing what they do better than almost everyone else. He's always come across as far too desperate for publicity and fame. I always compare him to Paul Scholes, about the same age, same team, same training, same managers etc. One will go down as one of the best midfielders of his generation and the other married a spice girl, became a walking clothes-horse and hawked his brand at every possible opportunity to maximise his status/fame. I know which one I've got the respect for.
  4. A competition he also invented ...Joe Kinnear still gleaming...

Lost any semblance of respect for him when he became a 'brand' rather than a footballer.
  6. Same. It's incredible. Thirded. Lush.
  7. We bought Ben Arfa in that window. And Kuqi. and Stephen Ireland obviously.

Willing to bet that those 2 big green blobs are the results of glancing on Krul's hoofs. Barely involved in the game at all. Still can't figure out how he's regressed so much. The standard of goals he scored in 2011 could not be sustained but he's gone so far backwards it's untrue.

Should have had 2, no excuses, it was 2 poor finishes. Even the first he didn't even lift it off the deck which meant the defender just had to stick out an ankle and clear it, at least if he'd lifted it about waist height he would have forced the defender into making a much more difficult stop or handling it. The less said about the second one the better. Atrocious.
  11. Yeah it's great when they show the entire field so you can see everything, the shape, the lines and the movement. Love all that.
  12. I'm actually fine with them glossing over things a bit. We know it was a fantastic performance but flying under the radar isn't always necessarily a bad thing imo.
  13. Agree totally but can see City and/or Chelsea throwing daft money at Everton in the Summer.
  14. Cardiff and Carlisle visiting on the same weekend. Hooliefest. Cardiff were utter arseholes back in the Championship season.
  15. First League win there I've ever known. Was nice that the boy (4) watched it with me too, it was a genuine first for the pair of us.
  16. Ridiculously wasteful in front of goal tonight.
  17. Waste of a squad place. Give one of the kids his shirt and just discard him. Very few players offer nothing, there's usually something they're there for and can do, but he offers you absolute zero.
  18. Never looked like we were remotely interested from the first whistle. There's been no urgency, tempo or enthusiasm at all. Played the game at a walking pace and absolutely no reaction to any of the goals. Perfect example of why Pardew is still so unpopular.
