    Players in public

His legs had gone and he was physically shot. He was a wonderful players in the late 80's but when he rocked up in 98 he was ostensibly shit tbh. The heart may have been willing but his (obese) body was very fucking weak.
  6. Not comfortable giving the club another penny when I know precisely none of it is going towards moving the club forwards. None of it was spent improving the playing staff and the club aren't interested in winning anything. If people are happy to continue to pump money into this organisation with such obvious scant disregard for ambition then that's up to them. As long as people continue to bend over and take it then the same thing will continue to happen. If people are willing to continue to spend £45 a month to fund it then that's a tacit endorsement of the skewed mismanagement of the club and the team imo. It's a "yeah, I don't mind what you're doing and here's more cash to see you right while you're doing it" rubber stamp. Each to their own though.
  7. He stood in his little box and passively watched the entire shitfest unfold before him. He did nothing to cajole or encourage his team and they responded by laying down. Hope he went fucking ments at them and I also hope they told him to get fucked. He can't motivate them into giving the first fuck any more, he's lost them imo. That's certainly how it looks to me.
  8. At himself, I hope. Of course not. He's never to blame. Silly.
  9. If we rate them, if they're cheap enough and the potential/likely sell-on fee is big enough then we'll most likely be in for them regardless of who they play for. Fitting them into a team, addressing a need and sculpting a cohesive XI comes a very poor second to making money. That's the priority, buy em' low and sell 'em high and fuck the team whilst we're doing it. That should be the new club motto, anyone know Latin?
  10. Even when Jamie Redknapp's got a decent point to make I want someone to throw a chair off him the mouthy little cunt. Just verbal diarrhoea.
  11. It really has. We've become a stepping stone for French players as well as becoming a club of nothingness. Thing is, I could just about be comfortable with being a stepping stone club. You look at Spurs and they've sold Carrick, Berbatov, Modric, Bale and probably a few more on to bigger and better clubs but the key difference is that they've pumped all of the cash made from being a stepping stone club back into finding more players. We've banked it. They've got the ambition to move the club forward and compete to win as much as they possibly can. Being a stepping stone club can be accompanied with realistic ambition and they've got it/done it. Players come and go all the time and I've long since passed the time where I take a player for granted, moving players on at a profit is acceptable as long as the club shows enough ambition to reinvest all of the proceeds into moving the club forward. That's what's lacking.
  12. Exactly. Head down and put the laces through it.
  13. The clubs made it's intentions perfectly clear over the last couple of years or so - they'll only invest in the team if it's in danger of going down. The lack of investment (not spending btw) is criminal and sends out entirely the wrong messages to the players we've conned into coming here believing the situation is any different. The manager has admitted he can't cope with preparing for 2 games a week, publically revealed he's glad we're not in European competitions and the club also has publically stated that progressing into the cups aren't a priority and are to be used to give some of the young lads a run out. Why would any half-decent, young player with ambition want to stay here, other than money? This current malaise and vegetative state the club has willingly put itself into will have some pretty dramatic repercussions in the short/medium term and the few quality players that remain will all leave once the penny drops about the club they've joined. I wouldn't blame a single one of them for looking elsewhere and to join a club with more genuine ambition than the disgraceful shite that's going on at SJP. It's fucking shameful.
  14. Pretty sure if the contact/foul starts outside but continues into the box it's a pen like.
  15. It is desperation but at least it shows their owner has got a pulse. Probably turns up for home matches as well the crazy bastard. Agreed.
  16. If I had any trust or faith in the manager then I'd be more inclined to take his side over the player's. As it happens we've got an incompetent arsehole in charge of the football team and when you've lost 5 off the bounce at home, not scoring in 4 of those, and you've ostracised one of the few creative players in the squad then you've got some explaining to do tbh. Had everything being ticking along nicely then this would barely have caused a ripple, as it is he's up against it and questions are being rightly raised about his management of his squad as footballers and as people.
  17. I could watch Barca all day tbh. Just the very fact they're good enough to keep possession of the ball for prolonged periods because of their technique and passing ability is startling. The fact they're patient enough to do so whilst moving the defence around looking for an opening is admirable and is the way the game should be played in my humble opinion. Fair play if people find it dull and insipid but I think it's the pinnacle of controlling the tempo and flow of a game using innate skill, movement and ability. Each to their own.
  18. It's just desperation tbh. The owner sees that there's been no 'bounce' and has rolled the dice again in the grim hope that Magath gets a reaction and wins 5 or 6 games between now and the end of the season. It's really tight down there so a daft, tiny little mini-run of decent results may be enough to stay up this year. If they stay up then Fulham fans (both of them) will say he was justified in chopping and changing managers as he felt like it. If Fulham drop they'll stay down for ages.
  19. He's not our player any more. I feel nothing at all.
  20. Sort your fucking hair out man Chiles you fucking mong.
