The only reason we could sign him is because he's a free agent so who is on loan from?

Also, Geordies don't have loyalty to tesco - if sainsburys sold cheaper milk they'd probably go there instead, not keep going to tesco in the hope that one day milk would drop to the cheapest price in the country. 5th cheapest in the last 10 years tbh.

Cascarino was top scorer in France one year iirc. Was on the 'roids over there too. Although he didn't know that at the time. Roids - how do you know that?! Have you read his book? Its supposed to be good. No, but it is in his book (which I bought my Dad and intend to borrow - v. good by all accounts) and I've heard him go on about it in interviews. There was a big scandal in France about it when it all came out (not just from Cascarino, I don't think he twigged until it came out). Also, isn't it correct he had absolutely no right to play for Ireland? Also dyed his hair the night before he went to meet the Club President to make him look younger too.

Hate to say it but they'll twat us, big time. I'm guessing at least 3-0. If we defend poorly then it could well be 4 or 5. They're flying and we're struggling badly. :-[

I think he talks a lot of sense when he's doing punditry. Classic case of being able to talk a good game but failing miserably when it comes to backing it up for real.

Barca, Man Utd, Arsenal, Fenerbache, Schalke, Roma, Chelsea and either Liverpool or Inter for the last 8. I fancy the Arsenal to win it.

God, I hate Graeme Souness. What an utter, utter prick. [/rant]

Stam came out and virtually accused Ferguson of tapping him up in a book though didn't he? He wasn't really sold for footballing reasons (ie. a dip in form), as opposed to, say, Kanchelskis and Ince.

His pace is deceptive. He's slower than he looks.

Soccer / Football Young potential star Nicholas Condylis, moved from Australia to play for Panathinaikos club in Greece two years ago at age 15. He was recorded a 17.1 in the beep test, which puts him up there with the international standard. (St George News, Feb 08) The Indian Soccer squad has an average beep test score of 11.7, with Steven Dias as the best. The article reported that the world standard for soccer players is is 13.09, (as reported by the Hindustan Times online, July 2007) Australian Brett Emerton, playing in the English Premier League for Blackburn Rovers, scored a level 15 a the beep test just before the World Cup (Vitalfootball.co.uk, June 2007) Casey Stoney, the Charlton women's football team captain, who is also an instructor in a gym, reached level 13. The rest of the English World Cup squad dropped out between eight and 12 (Timesonline.com, June 2007) An article in the Independent.ie reported that Dublin player Wes Hoolahan has beaten the test twice (May 07). David Beckham has reputedly completed the test, which seems like a bit of hype. Another source I found said he has reached level 16, which seems more believable. Australian player Nick Carle reached level 13.1 (March 07) Brazilian import for the Melbourne Victory team, Fred, is the fittest player in the squad, recording a level of 16 when he did the beep test (Jan 07). English Premier League player Lee Gong Dook was reported to have reached level 17 (Jan 07). from: http://www.topendsports.com/testing/beep-scores.htm Not sure exactly how accurate it is.

He who laughs last... He hasn't had the last laugh yet.. there's still plenty of time for the hyper dwarf to f*** it up At least he knows which division his team will be playing in next season.

No, I think the draw is always the friday after the second leg. Week on Friday. Cool. Thought so, but wasn't sure if they drew 2 rounds in one go like they do for the UEFA Cup. They will do for the QF draw, semis will be drawn aswell next Friday Gotcha.

I can see that Milan team being ripped apart this summer and Ancelotti getting the bullet. Mourinho for Milan?

Has the draw been made for the QF's?

Arsenal deserve this like. Shutting Milan out and going to the San Siro and winning is superb. Hats off.
-
Not much pressure on the lad then?
-
Arsenal should be in front but I've got the feeling Milan might just make them pay. Hope not like.

Does that answer your question NE5?

Dont associate us all with the tic though SSN have been there all day and it's been wall-to-wall Irish tricolors. It's just confusing.

Started watching Barca vs Ireland but the interest ended pretty swiftly... Got AC on now.
