Got wiped out in a pre-season game at Hartlepool. Really nasty tackle and he got moved on soon after iirc. I believe he went back to Swindon IIRC. That sounds about right billy.

I think it's basically a number that the referee writes into his match report. Its not perfect, the lowest average rating is 6.9, all very subjective, but its fair to say that the team's ranking in this category generally reflects the reality. So it's a load of fucking shite then? I never said it wasn't I was just trying to explain why some dirty teams are higher than they should be. That's fair enough.

It was pre-season wasn't it? Against Athletic Bilbao. It was after the 2nd consecutive 11th finish under SBR. I think there were a number of factors - the previous season not being great (we'd stood still and not had a cup run for the first time in a while), the opposition, the timing (people still being on their hols etc.). Pre-season Shit opposition. £20 a ticket (£11 kids) No Past legends/team mates Marcelino booed I remember it had the feeling of just another normal pre-season game which was used as his testimonial. Like killing 2 birds with 1 stone. Only they bumped the ticket price up, which turned a lot of people off imo.

How can you possibly measure/quantify how much 'positive' football a team plays? What a load of fucking shite.

Ramage. The worst footballer on that list by some considerable distance.
-
Bracewell, Sheedy and Sellars were good buys too. Given our needs at the time and the buttons he shelled out for them obviously.
-
Excellent choice Marc. There was a period when for me he was the best midfielder in the country, total box to box player. Very intelligent footballer as well. Top notch player. The type of player you could build a team around. It's a fantastic list though and they were all really good signings in their own, unique way.

Rob Lee.

If anyone doesn't vote for Ronaldo, they need their head examining tbh.
-
Forgotten what it's like seeing us play with a 2 goal cushion tbh. :-[ Think we'll win it comfortably too and looking forward to the match for the first time in ages.
-
How much would he go for though? 70m? If they have to ask - they can't afford him.
-
Nice to see someone else getting a fucking pasting by them for a change tbh.
-
As much as it would please me to see the mackems drop into the bottom 3 tonight, there is no way Man U will drop points tonight. Hoping they knock about 6 past them to dent their goal difference too, just in case it comes down to the crunch.

Agree with all of that. Far too many little niggly injuries which seem to take an age to clear up only for them to twist/strain/pull a different part of their leg shortly after. Must be very frustrating for a manager.

Yep. His defending.
