goalfest on monday He'll turn into Lev Yashin's lovechild on Monday man. Sod's law.

Just waiting for McMilkman to come out and blame the pitch for losing. The pitch had fuck all to do with any of the goals. Robinson was badly at fault for their second. It either gets caught and gathered or pushed round the post - NOT palmed out to the onrushing striker to prod in. Rank keeping.

His appointment had 'disaster' written all over it imo. The silver lining for Bolton is that it's been done early enough for the new bloke to come in and have a decent shot at keeping them up. The situation is a bit like Charlton last season with Curbishley/Dowie/Reed/Pardew all coming and going within about 9 months.

RTG is the best/funniest footy site on the net. There, I've said it.

They obviously went to Derwent Hill! I've done that gorge-walk 4 times. Piece of piss tbh.
-
A source close to the club? Official? Nah.
-
Oba Martins tbh. Fantastic athlete but a very ordinary footballer.
-
The first one I actually recall was when we put 4 past Luton in '88. O'Neill hat-trick and Kenny Wharton sat on the ball.
-
Plenty mentioned already but I'd throw Steve Finnan's name in there too.
-
Not saying he is good enough but players a lot worse have. Gavin McCann('t) for example... *shudders*

which one Actually, I'm thinking of the one I saw in The Back Page - The Damned United re: his short time at Leeds. I do remember reading a Clough biog on my hols after my Dad had read it. That was years ago but very probably not the same one. I'm not massively into sports biogs / books in general as loads of them are shit. I've read the odd gem though. Anyway, enlighten me, oh wise one Flattery will get you everywhere. Most of the time Nah, not fair on midds, there aren't many copies around and he's looking for it, and I'm looking on ebay for it for him, so I'll let him tell you if he wants to Sorry Alex. Will "the life and times of Graeme Souness" do instead No worries mate, fair do's. Midds would probably lend it to me when he's finished anyway as I would to him. Course I will. Getting hold of it is going to be the hard part though. Needle in a haystack time methinks. > well, they have copies on amazon but they are expensive, over 20 quid Forgot about amazon. nnnggghhh!!!

I have no recollection of him as a player and I'm about 10 years older than you. I was referering to no recollection of any mention of him in the record books as being anything more than just a good player. What about the one which states that he's the only bloke to represent his country at every possible level in the game?

Leeds Ultras 'n' White-Rose Posse. Buzzin in Darlo. 2007.

I'm sure the commentator said something like "a third had travelled up the A1" to see the game.

Sounds good. What time mate? 7.45 I think have you got that book yet ????? EDIT ITS AT 6.45 Cheers - Sky+'d. No still not got the book yet! I've been throng on at work and I've really pushed it to the bottom of the pile tbh. I WILL get a copy of it eventually though - come hell or high water. Cheers for the head's up.

Have they sorted out who's home and who's away yet?

It's about developing a partnership at CH that's important imo. You can't just rank them and pick the best 2. They've got to complement each other and form and understanding. From the, relatively, little I've seen of Cacapa he looks an excellent player. Reads the game well and has a canny touch but is getting on a bit and isn't the quickest. Faye looks like an absolute monster but is perhaps a little too physical and will give loads of free-kicks away. Roz looks a decent player and seems comfortable on the ball but needs to toughen himself up. Taylor is a 100%er but is too rash and doesn't read the game well enough yet. Allardyce will have to mix and match to deal with the forwards we play against but I'd like him to choose a pair to start most games and stick to it as much as possible.

I thought he was quite fortunate not to get sent off today tbh. All around me were up in arms when he got booked but I thought he cleaned the lad out and went straight through his ankle.
