  1. some of us have longer memories and do not see the previous player as the standard to be bettered, especially as there is a different manager and owner Fair enough, but would you agree that Viduka is a vast improvement on Sibierski?
  2. Genuinely can't see how replacing Sibierski with Viduka could possibly be turned into a negative. I guess there's no pleasing some people though, is there?
  3. Gilardino Shevchenko Ronaldo scary Old and flabby. with 10 goals in 13 apps, yeah, do your research Ok, yah, will do sweatie. Don't take this the wrong way, but when are you logging out tonight? Pm me when you sprout a pube, that's when I'm logging out. Magic. That's all I needed to know. 'night all.

  5. I think if Brown Envelope buys City, he'll want to run things himself tbh.

    Relegation odds

Worth an outside punt imo. Could well fall to bits without the guy who's got them where they are. Certainly wouldn't be surprised if Sammy Lee doesn't last the season. Bolton's signings hardly fill you with hope for them either. Gavin McCann is now a has been and J Lloyd Samuel is a never was been. Also rumblings about Jussi rejecting a new contract and leaving them for Villa or Sunderland. Ben Haim has already gone and I wouldn't be suprised if Anelka spits his dummy out. I'd argue he was a 'never was' personally. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Bolton struggle next season but there's still enough left there for them to go down. Got a cap off Sven anarl iirc. Jesus wept! He did aye! He's always looked like a plodder imo. The midfield equivalent of Aaron Hughes. A 100%er but very limited.

    Relegation odds

Looking at those odds, i'd say the bookies have got it more or less spot on. Brum & Derby will both struggle and go down. Wigan will go unless they spend a fortune. Fulham, City and Boro will also be in the mix down there too. The mackems will stay up fairly comfortably and will be hard to beat at home.

    St James' Park

No-one. It's the Gallowgate. No better place on this universe tbh.
  10. Vic has a point here. He signed an improved contract based on the fact he'd retired from Internationals and thus he'd be available for more Toon matches. He then signs the contracts and decides he wants to continue playing for Peru. I love the little bloke but he pulled a fast one. As I said above, Solano shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. He fell out with the coach of Peru and didn't need a great deal of help to come to the decision he did iirc...

  12. But Bent doesn't want to go to west ham so Charlton can either cash in or have a unhappy player in the squad. So the Charlton chairman will accept a bid of, for arguments sake, £12m after West Ham have bid £16m + Mullins? He'll look f****** stupid! Got a feeling Bent will stay exactly where he is or he may be 'persuaded' to sign for West Ham. harry kewell leaving leeds for liverpool You know what i mean though? He accepts a £16m+, saying they've matched their valuation, on Wednesday only to see it break down...........then he accepts £12m on Friday for the same player. It makes him look f****** stupid for asking for so much in the first place. West Ham don't come out of it with any credit either tbh. i know what you mean but it doesnt really matter,if the player has a choice of places then he has the power. 100% correct. blueyes.gif The point I was making is that the Charlton chairman has come out and said, not in as many words, "I'll accept £16m+ for Bent. They've matched our valuation." etc 48 hours later, this changes to "we've reluctantly agreed to let Bent talk to Spurs for £12m". He just comes out of it looking like a tool.

  15. William Prunier. Bald, French and dogshit.
  16. Spurs need permission to talk to Bent first. I'd assume they would need to match West Ham's offer if they even want to talk to him. Unless this Magnusson bloke wants to look like a soft shit and offer even more???
  17. The goal's been coming since HT. Pearce should have changed his system or his personnel to deal with the changes the Italians made. Poor poor management.
  18. 'Livid' didn't even come close tbh...
  19. I could cut and paste exactly what I wrote when Sidwell chose Chelsea. There are several very good reasons for signing for Chelsea. I don't blame him for choosing them but if he thinks he'll play in more than half of the games, he's deluded. He'd have improved us but he's chosen them. Fair enough and lets find someone else.
  20. so u honestly think its just a coincidence? Both Sheffield clubs will be in the Football League next season...
  21. Aye, Mourinho complained that they played more games under floodlights than any other club so he lobbied adidas for a brighter kit.
  22. Definitely. Wonder how long Barton spends in the salon getting his hair chopped?
  23. A canny fixture list in my opinion. We get the whole 'big Sam goes back to Bolton' out of the way first game then lots of winnable games up to Christmas. A tough January and February and we may have a few tough games in the FA cup too. Then a decent (ish) run in. Lots of Saturday games too...
  24. Now Nugent would be a canny signing for them tbh. Fully expecting Everton to match it though. He's a scouser so I'd assume he'd probably want to play for them though??
  25. If he's so good, why have none of the top teams in either England, Spain, Italy or Germany seriously gone for him? I mean, he's signed for Middlesbrough. That was his best option? Boro?
