Nothing wrong with setting high targets. I look back to last season and count the points we lost out on when playing the dregs of the division. Add those points on and we're in the top 8 easily. Looking forward to next season and us playing under a real manager for the first time in a few years. Top 6 is there for the taking imo.

I think that Gerrard has proved time and again that he deserves to start in the middle of the park. The England manager should pick the other 3 midfielders to complement him and the way he plays. This means benching Lampard and playing Hargreaves (possibly Carrick?) to do the nasty stuff which lets Gerrard get forward. If only we had a manager who actually had a spine...
