Or booking people for dissent. Players shouting and swearing in referee's faces has become the norm and tbh they can't complain when it happens. They're allowing it to happen. It's almost as if booking no-one, regardless of what's actually happened, is immediately applauded by pundits. "Oh, he's let the game flow, credit to him" - no, he's been verbally abused, sworn at, let players dive, cheat and make dangerous tackles for 90 mins and he's not booked anyone. He's not done his job, no credit whatsoever

Would also be quite nice if he went there and wasted their transfer pot like he did at Everton though. Seems like a canny bloke but I wouldn't want him in charge of my own team

That KdB shot is like a Tiger Wood's 285y, 3 Iron stinger

That's fucking delicious. Wooooof

Pick that cunt out. Ooooooof

Absolutely right. You think this place is a democracy?

I need to hire James Justin's agent

These days if you tackle a player and you're English you'll be thrown in jail.

Real leaving loads of space between their CB's and FBs. Essentially 2 CBs marking Haaland and leaving the run into the channels for City but they're not making the runs. Need to get beyond Haaland, it's all in front of that back 4. Rope-a-dope stuff atm

Vini with an absolute shit-pinger

I actually think there's a pretty high chance that all 3 clubs get 70+ points now tbh. I'm quite bullish about it, Leeds haven't become a good team since that fat cunt walked through the door last week, they're awful. Leicester have looked incredibly poor for most of the season and concede for fun, Brighton look like their bubble has burst and got taken apart by a poor team at home and Chelsea haven't give a single fuck all season and won't want to know on the last day. No reason why we can't win each of those fixtures. 10 or 12 points is more than possible but I'd settle for 7 or 8 no worries

Would be truly awful if he used his gardening leave from Brighton to try and recreate the entire model from scratch for us

Agree with that. Another thing to consider is his contract, age and value. He's been here 4 years and still has 2 years to go on his deal, we're going to have to make a decision to extend his deal when he'll be 28 or try and get the maximin most we possibly can. Letting it run another summer means his value will go down as he inches closer to summer '25. His book value will be rather low right now I'd imagine too. Bought for £18m (ish), 2/3 of the way through his contract, probably 'worth' only £6m on the books with amortisation. Selling him this summer for £30m (or whatever) would be a bit of a shot in the arm for the financial side of things I'd imagine? Think that's how it works but happy to be corrected. If we're going to move him on then dong it this summer seems like the very best time to do it. Could well be best for all parties concerned. His next contract, here or elsewhere, will need to be his best one from his point of view too.

Went to all of those luckily enough for me. Do remember the tickets being a little steep, I've got £35 a pop in my head that was for Gallowgate (middle tier). Doesn't sound too much now but 21 years ago that seemed pricey on top of what I was paying for the season ticket too.

I'd love to hear the defence for watching Pickford assault someone in the box and completely get away with it like Wouldn't have affected the result in any way at all tonight but a 3 match ban might have for the other clubs down there...

Let's hope that's popped Brighton's bubble. Shipping 5 at home to this Everton side is encouraging for us

4 subs? Ballsy...

Agree. Just showing whole pitch footage there and Everton basically split into to teams when they break - back 5 and front 6 with about 70 yards between them. Sure Eddie is watching on but this only happens with that very early goal imo. If that goes wide then Everton can't do what they've done. That goal allowed them to put their plan into place perfectly and they've done them a few times, could easily be 0-5 tbh, fair play.
-
They're so open. I get the fact they've got to throw a few bodies forward to get themselves back into it but even so, they're not even marking and leaving player with 20 yards of space to play and run into. Shocking stuff from Brighton so far
-
This match is a classic example of why I never do any of these predictor things, yeah they've got their place and it's only a bit of fun etc but no cunt had Everton down to win this one!
-
Fair play to them they looked dead and buried 10 games ago but they've kept going and sneaked in. They're 11/4 to win the play-offs now and they appear to be in pretty good form, wouldn't be the worst bet in the world tbh

This has got '2 Brighton goals in 5 mins to turn it around' written all over it

If someone had told me in August we'd be going into the last few games with a chance of 5th I'd have asked to have them certified. 5th at the start of the season was just unthinkable, to break into the top 6 and play European football next season was impossible. To jump from 19th to 11 to 5th in 18 months would have been literally unbelievable. And yet here we are. 4 games left and we're 3rd with a better GD and games in hand on those chasing us. And we've also been to a Cup Final for the first time in a generation. I get dropping out of the top 4 would take a bit of the gloss off a bit but to focus on that negative is an awful way to look at things. The big picture looks very very fucking nice whether we finish 3rd, 4th or 5th. We're gaining ground on them all

Whatever competition we end up in next season we're going to have more matches like that. Big game and a atmosphere and we need to experience it more often if we're going to get better at dealing with them. We're not always going to come out on top against these top players and teams but it's how you learn. We've got to see this as a lesson, not a loss. We lost the game but learned from what Arsenal did to squeak it. We'll get better and better and better in the next 5 or 6 years
