Can't see any advantages of playing the horrible cunts again, we have nothing to gain. Win and its "well youse have spent a fortewn" and anything other than a win would be "hurhur, spent a fortewn and cuddent beat uz, hurhur" It's a no win situation for us. Far prefer them to spend the next 10+ years in midtable Champo obscurity thank you.
  2. Even going down in the game I thought we'd win it. That was really good performance tonight and we looked in complete control for 80 minutes. Isak could actually be fucking sensational if it all clicks for us, he's the complete PL striker
  3. Thoroughly deserved that mind, you get what you deserve most of the time and we won that far more convincingly than the score suggests. Forest were wank and we dominated them from start to finish and had it finished 1-5 then it would have been a fairer reflection of how the game panned out. 6 points is 6 days is fucking nice too going into a little break. Can't fault anything tonight, one mistake and one goal punished, it happens
  4. They've created virtually nothing at home in the first half and I think we're unlucky going in level at HT. Just need to keep playing and get the next goal and we eventually win it 3-1 hopefully
  5. It's another gift just like Wolves' goal last weekend. Feels like every mistake is being punished and we're not converting enough to make up for it but I'm not going to slag Botman, it's a mistake but he's been excellent for 90% of the season and he's not a robot. Long way to go yet and we're not out of it
  6. Dyche officially the hardest PL manager now. This confirms it imo

They really are a joy to watch these days. Unbelievably good tonight, phenomenal performance. Fans are also fucking class too. Yet again. How do they keep on being so consistently class??
  8. Traditionally/historically big clubs going down is always newsworthy and generates interest. I'll admit I'm getting a bit bored of seeing Watford, West Brom, Norwich etc constantly bouncing up and down season after season and I just want a bit of variety. I've got nothing against them really but seeing Burnley, Boro and Millwall come up would be ideal. Likewise seeing Everton, West Ham and Leeds drop down would be far more interesting. Don't think anyone is deliberately slagging Bournemouth here but seeing a bigger club relegated would be more interesting
  9. Quick scan at the other top Leagues on the continent and it's apparent that we're rubbing shoulders with the elite in some areas. Our defensive unit is outstanding. Of the top 5 leagues (98 teams) only 3 have lost fewer games than we (3) have, these teams are Barcelona, Napoli and Bayern (all on 2 losses). Looking at goals conceded then only Barcelona (8!) and Napoli (16) have shipped fewer than we (18) have. I know we've been tight at the back and that all starts from defending as a unit from the CF back but that's incredible given when Howe inherited and the way we were playing 14 months ago. Also fully aware that our stats for goals scored and games won won't be as rosy either but it's a hell of a platform to build on from here. Adding 4 or 5 players in midfield and attack could catapult us forward as a club, we all know that but the foundations are there. Turning draws into wins next season has to be the priority and that means adding goals to the system. It won't be cheap either

Onus also needs to be on the midfield to be better in possession when playing out from the back. Wolves pressed well and they shut off the passing lanes into midfield meaning we had to go back to Pope a lot more often then we normally would. We need to be better at beating the press and playing it into the middle third and that means more movement, better touch and better passing. Playing it forward quicker and more accurately will put less pressure on Pope. It's asking a lot at times but when all of these little things eventually come together we'll be laughing. Can't stick all of the blame on Pope and ask him to become a 3rd CB in possession, he's got enough to do. Everyone knows he's not great with the ball at his feet but he often saves shots that most keepers concede, he's more than doing his bit for the team. Now that he's made a few high profile mistakes I'd expect more teams to target him and put him under more pressure. We need, as a team, to protect him a bit and do as much as possible to work the ball up the park.

    Dogawful Officiating

Umpire's call decision. If the ref gives it on the field then VAR aren't overturning it, he didn't give it and there wasn't enough to overturn it. Luckily it went for us today but we couldn't really have complained if he'd given the pen tbh. If that's Sa clipping Isak in the other box we're screaming for a pen

    Alexander Isak

Excellent today. Did everything I'd want from my CF and needs to start every single match he's fit for, if he can get 10 between now and the end of the season we'll finish 4th and he's more than capable of it too.
  13. Huge game and 3 points that (obviously). Really thought that 15 minutes before HT was when the game should have been put out of sight and going 2 or 3 up at HT would have meant a very different second half. Delighted for Isak to get his chance and to take it, he's now the CF at the club and needs to start every game he's fit for, if that means Wilson's nose gets put out of joint a bit then so be it. H'e mobile, direct, runs at defenders, pulls them out of position and can strike a ball from a decent distance and Wilson hasn't done much of that for months. Absolutely no reason why we can't push on a bit now and get back into 4th. No other distractions or cups and we can focus on every game now. Big, big opportunity to clinch a spot at the top table now
  14. Hands up if you think Bournemouth get that decision in the other box

Not every club can be as hewj as sunlun are though marra
  16. Jenas will be there 12 hours early just to make sure he gets the gig. The spineless, servile and relentlessly dull little cunt thet he is, and always has been.
  17. First installment for Bellingham en route to BVB
  18. Salah sot is evens on PP tomorrow. 2 sot is 2/1 on sky. Pile in
  19. It's a complete false economy to sign the likes of McTominay. All we'd be doing is spending £30m(ish) to add another body who is no different to what we've got. He's probably a slightly better version of Longstaff on his better days and adds nothing different to the squad, he's a clone. It would also add £30m(ish) to Man U's transfer pot as they go out and buy a Bellingham (or whoever) who would significantly improve them. The cash we'd give them would be spent in helping improving the opposition we're trying to catch and overhaul in the first place, we'd be even further away from them, the logic is retarded. Not saying it'll be easy to haul them in but buying the likes of McTominay would make it even more difficult. I love Howe and what he's done but someone needs to have a word if he's seriously after McTominay and his ilk.
  20. The only thing they've proven is that they're all bang average (at best) and have played in the League long enough for that to be inarguable. I'd even go as far as to say I'd be deliberately avoiding dealing with the Big 6 right up until the point we're able to take their best players and that is at least 5 or 6 years away yet. Not interested in them converting their dross into cash because we're asking them, fuck that. Look at the best talent on the continent and go with that. There are many Botman's, Isak's and Bruno's out there so find them and sign them. What the fuck is Scott McTominay going to add to this side man?
  21. Money wins. Dortmund have been fucked over here
  22. Good. Ridiculous decision ...obviously retaken
  23. This won't go down well with a few but it's pretty accurate imo https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2023/feb/26/newcastle-not-yet-an-evil-empire-side-but-cup-final-feels-like-a-springboard
