Cardiff City have idiots that follow them and if they want to cause trouble they will whether it is a friday or saturday. However every club in the country has similar idiots. I am really annoyed about the ko time change as it means i cannot come to the game with my 2 boys. The local plod have requested the change because of the mackems v Wigan. Surely the NUFC v CCFC match will attract a bigger crowd. Top v 3rd with 3k visitors as opposed to a boring lower midtable clash with 30000 mackem chavs and 56 Wigan fans. for all every club in the country has some twats some clubs are reputed to have more than others and yours, rightly or qwrongly is in that group. the police would rather have your lot up here on the friday as the likelihood is you'd go back on the saturday whereas if the game was on saturday there'd probably be a sizeable ammount of you up here on the friday anyway. also best have it, if there is going to be bother when most of the normal citizenry aren't out shopping etc.

at least one mackem at work has some perspective. as he put it they out fought and under strength arsenal, played well against an out of form man utd and liverpool without torres and gerrard.

my opinion on this subject hasn't altered from the other 30 or so posts i've made in very similar threads over the years.

What you say would perhaps make sense if Hughton had signed any of them, he didn't. Given the situation we are in he can only really work with what we've got. It's his preference for some of them ahead of others in our squad who are more attacking minded I'm getting at. He's far too negative & I'd be surprised if he went for a player like that & then played them consistently. Hope I'm wrong. to be fair and play a bit devils avacado, hughton hasn't really had a chance to put out a team of his liking as he's really had to get on with what he had. only guthrie could be classed as a box to boxer or someone of more attacking intent and he hasn't covered himself in glory when playing anywhere apart from against leicester. smith to many does the holding role and nolan has been scoring so in many ways i can understand why hughton does that. mind you i can't agree with playing butt and smith together.

...and Derby, and Plymouth Argyle, and Peterborough's kits! Seems Adidas maybe aren't as 'exclusive' or 'Selective' as they used to be. ...and you think that these clubs will be getting the same sort of money that NUFC & now Spurs are getting...!? they will be getting one appropriate to their position, as we will. correct, and should we get promoted that will be more than if we're in the championship, though it wont be as much as the old deal simply because when that deal was made we were regulars in europe still. makes sense.

"he will not want to spend........" nor should we have to expect it. we may just have to put up with being one of the many clubs who have to survive without a sugar daddy.

it's also the footy lads christmas day out.

Funny how these stories have turned up all of a sudden and all these clubs are interested, despite the fact he may be facing a spell in prison for all we know. any club would have to be totally fucking barmy to pay millions for a player who was looking likely to do time. so pleased we aren't that stoopid.

we used to play a game of trying to sneak into the old main stand seats from the A or E wing paddocks when the gadgie guarding the gate sneeked off for a whazz or a bovril. I knew one of the stewards who used to work on the exit gate at the corner of the Gallowgate, Milburn where the cashpoint is now, if his boss was not around, he would let us in through the gate. One time we were playing Luton in the FA Cup, and he let us in, but it was with the Luton fans, in the corner of the gallowgate. Had to make our way through the crowd to the front, then cross over into the main part of the gallowgate to be with the toon fans. Almost crushed halfway down as Luton scored my dad used to get complimentaries in the early/mid 70's. one for him and a couple for his mates so we'd go to the steward at the gallowgate corner gate, that lead into the gallowgate centre and my dad would hand over the ticket with a 50p under it, over to the steward. so whenever you look at attendances from that period, it is at least one short.

WBA 2-2 QPR......conclusive proof that the premiership is crap. last season no-one wanted to fight to stop in it and this season no-one is putting up a fight to get into it.
