For all we may be run better it takes more than two years to catch up, especially squad wise. Even more so with the restrictions placed on us, restrictions that certain clubs pressed for out of fear for their own positions.

I'd say there's a bit if a difference when you're first and second choices are injured and your squad is smaller to start with because you've only really been a serious functioning football club for 2yrs as opposed to one that's bullied the footballing world (by which I mean off the pitch) for decades.

That a deal can be worked out where the disparity is so much keeps the rich getting rich and becomes self perpetual.

I'm not sure about that. Isn't their ad hoc changing of the rules mid season just as much of an abuse ? I'm just waiting for premiership prize money and tv money to be divided up on co efficient terms like Champs league money.
