Even back in the Hall/Shepherd days they said it was feasible but too expensive. Engineering has moved on quite a bit sinve then.
-
I've heard a rumour that they are even thinking of expanding back over from the Leazes for more corporate and better concourse space etc. Wouldn't increase seating capacity but better space for people to spend their money pre game etc
-
That would mean shutting the stand for at least a season.
-
I've seen them given but I'd have thought it harsh. Definite yellow, maybe a yellow and a half.
-
Do you mean the extension being single tier or the entire stand ?
-
I used to love going for a walk listening to the match and it's surprising how many others did. You'd could tell by the reactions of people when we scored. Some of my favourite football memories are from this, Cole's equaliser at Old Trafford, Nobby's pen at Sunderland, Beresford equaliser in Kiev, 4-3 win at Elland Road.......
-
To be fair the sending off was harsh and changed the game.
-
The amount of times I've said that over the past year or so and we've ended up with a comfortable 3 points. I'd take a point though.
-
That's not rebuilding on the footprint like.
-
And where do we play for 2 or 3 yrs ?
-
Not want to ? They'll not have a choice. It's a bugger to get parked anyway so people park where they can and walk the rest.
-
We'd have loved that not so long ago. You support YOUR club even if mid table is the best it seems its going to get because its YOUR club.
-
You haven't said why people wouldn't be parking where they already do. If we were to go there (and I do t think we will), the larger issue would be pedestrians, with the redheugh access being blocked with fans walking straight o er like the do on Barrack Road bringing traffic to a stand. I don't think we'll move, we'll extend the Gallowgate and Strawberry corner and be able to do something with the East Stand, short of a full expansion, to squeeze in a few more seats.
-
Why wouldn't they park where they already do ?
-
It's still the same. They can be demolished or moved or changed with council consent. Just highly unlikely to get that consent.
-
That's not strictly true. They'd need Listed building consent from the Council. In this instance it's highly unlikely they'd get consent but it's a myth that Grade 2 status means it's Impossible.

Fog on the Tyne 1st verse and chorus I think would work.........I'm still, in absent minded moments, trying to work out something for "Run for home".

It felt like I was the only one saying that last Summer.

Wasn't the issue with the Dell takeover that Rodney wasn't keen on moving out of Peckham ?
-
How would we be in their position. I'd be cool with it as they are in a decent place, young team doing well and playing decent stuff. I also doubt I'd be saying we could take PSG and I doubt I'd be trying to do down our rivals as for all we are doing OK they are pulling away at speed.
-
I gave up on Sky sports soccer Saturday thing with Jeff Stelling because the panel with Merson etc were just utter shit. I'd have it on but sound off with Radio 5 sound on.
-
It is. 5 is OK. 6 is better than OK......

I had a little peruse through their forum (thanks to Google chrome) and found loads about the game itself, nothing about what they thought of the trip itself. Anyone see anything. I did hear one lad after the game being asked what he thought and he said he was surprised and was going to bring his girlfriend for a weekend. The accent made it hard to decide if he was taking the piss, being diplomatic or whatever.
